wouldn't He be like VIKI in the movie I Robot?? She felt it was her duty to protect humans from themselves, even against their will. That did't turn out too well, humans didn't like it much.
Is that really how you want God to act, or do you just like to have someone to blame in a tragedy?

I understand - I'm asking this to those people who always get upset that God doesn't stop school shootings, or 911 sort of events. They just blame Him for giving us free will basically.

Seems people think God should only give them free will, but not give other people free will. Unfortunately, its an all or nothing situation. God isn't going to just give some people free will and not others, hence bad people do bad things. If God intervened everytime some nutcase decided to kill, rape or whatever, it wouldn't be free will. Free will has consequences.

A good question. Most people feel that God should always stop dab things from happening to good people, but have no such desire when it comes to Him stopping them from doing wrong. So, the answer is yes. People do just want to blame God for the thing that happen to them, and for the things that they can't understand. Unfortunately, what they really don't understand is that, if God came out of Heaven and put a stop to all that is wrong and evil and just did away with it all, not one man on this planet would be left. Not even myself. Besides, He likes everyone to have free will. And He always gives people a chance to change. I know because He gave me that chance when I was about to commit suicide.

That would be taking away the free will that He gave to us.

That's how free will goes... there's always someone who can misuse it. Without it, we'd be nothing but... well, robots.
