Well you could take the guts out of an old BT phone and swap them for the French ones.
BUT
The phone will NOT be BT approved, and any mistakes COULD blow or damage the local telephone exchange, and you WILL be traced, and you WILL be liable for damages!

A good cheap one can cost only £10.00
