I heard that there are around 1.2 billion Catholics, 1 billion Muslims, and just less than a billion of non-Catholic Christians (Protestants, non-denominational, Mormon, etc.). Do you think the Catholics will have babies more than the Muslims to keep the status of largest religion?
I'm not Catholic... but I would much rather there be more Catholics than Muslims...

When I was younger, I was raised by Catholic adoptive parents who told me that my parents were Lutheran, and told me it was fine with them if I did not convert to Catholicism. And, I have seen the great amounts of social work and such that the Catholic Church does that I do not necessarily see from the Muslim world.***

I don't think that any person wants to have babies just to beat another religion. That sounds rather odd!
Islam is the fasting growing religion in the world and not out of force (some people think it's because a man forces his wife to be Muslim, but Muslim men can marry non-Muslim women, as long as they believe in the other religious texts).
There is a small minority of Muslims who are unfortunately not promoting Islam in the way that it should be: peaceful and full of love for one another and mankind.
Islamic relief is the biggest, international Muslim organisation which is like the Red Cross, helping the poor and underprivileged. People can sponsor a child in various countries, spend some money, buy food packages for families in for example Sudan or Palestine, providing clean water supplies, providing proper education for children etc
On the contrary, one of the five pillars of Islam is SPENDING IN CHARITY. This is what every Muslim has to do. Therefore, unfortunately perhaps you have the wrong overview about Islam. We are also good people. There are always bad people in every single social, ethnic or religious group in the world.

I don't know if this is a real question based on needing an answer, or wanting to be ignorant. Your last comment "I'm not Catholic... but I would much rather there be more Catholics than Muslims..." Seems to be a rather ignorant comment. Is there is a specific reason that you would rather there be more Catholics than Muslims in the world? Perhaps you have a racist/bias opinion on what "Muslim" people are. If you would like to direct a ignorant "Question" like that - do not beat around the bush. Simply say You do not like muslims.

Actually, I think with the advance of more logical and reasoning people all religions will eventually fade into the past. It will take years, but church attendance is already decreasing. Muslims might figure out that with all the violence in their world right now that maybe they should take another look at the Koran. Again, this will take decades, but it is slowly starting to happen because reason is slowly starting to be dominant - not mythology and superstition.

Catholics travelling at 45km/hr. Protestants at 25 km/hr and Muslims at 100 km/hr. Both conversion and population increase. Islam is the fastest growing religion.

No one had to give birth to me for me to become confirmed in the Catholic faith. I came to the Church in 1997-1998 being confirmed at Easter 1998.
Many people are coming to the Catholic church as adults.

Not sure. The Catholics in European nations are leaving the church and having less and less children. However, if the Muslims take over, the Shiites and Sunnis will kill each other off.
