It will help you lose water and salt from your body from sweating. This will cause you to lose weight until you drink water again. Some believe saunas help the body release toxins. Surf the web. There is plenty of info out there on this.

No no matter how Manny times yo go to the sauna or the steam bath if you do not control your eating habits it will not work

Only if the weight you have now is water weight. A can of Coke could do that.

Try exercizing before the steam. That will help.

To lose weight a person has to reduce caloric intake and/or increase their metabolic rate.

Of course it can, but in such a case your body must be fat rich (i.e. have fat rather than muscle), it is never good for a muscular body.
