Sin literally means "falling short of perfection". With Adam & Eve, violating their one law, showing God had authority to rule them, was the original sin.
They had many trees and fruits to eat but were restricted from one single tree. Simple.

Adam & Eve ate the fruit of the tree in the garden of Eden. God said not to eat it. As our representatives, Adam and Eve fell and we fell in them. We are all held guilty for the sin of our representatives, as we would have inherited Paradise forever had they obeyed. The wages of sin is death. Spiritual death was immediate. Physical death was inevitable.

Hi. I'm not christian but was raised that way as a child & if i remember correctly that was when eve ate the apple. I could be wrong, but that's what I think.

"ENVY"
Lucifer became envious of man when God said that he was going to place a ray of his light within man. This ray of light that God placed within man is known as the "Soul". God also said that man was superior to all of his other creations, which included the angels. This is when Lucifer became arrogant,
took 1/3 of the angels with him and departed heaven.

According to bible, Original sin is this story..
"5000 years ago, two of god's creation, ate god's apples and god got angry and cursed whole mankind for that act of disobedience."
So all this pain and suffering in this world throughout centuries is because two people ate god's apple.
