Sure. There are so many, it's hard to say where to start.

First, check out Skeptics Annotated Bible. It has a version of the Bible with interesting crosslinks.

Second, Paul's writings, which were the earliest writings about Jesus were still written decades after his death. The only teachings of Jesus that Paul mentions is 1) Don't divorce and 2) Preachers should be paid. That's it. The Gospels, which were written long afterwards, include lots of details about Jesus' life that weren't mentioned by Paul. The authors of the Gospels are unknown. In those days, it was common to write in the name of another person. So, there was a huge gap where people forgot about Jesus, then suddenly "remember" family details decades later.

Thirdly, you can look into the history of any religion and see its man-made roots. There is also evidence in the study of human nature to show how people make up and believe myths, superstitions, and urban legends. This is even true today.

However, there is no evidence that any gods exist, including the Christian god.

Not really.

The argument against the existence of heaven and hell is a compelling one, and there are some philosophical arguments against it. You can search for them, they're all over the internet.

I would like to add, however, that the reason some people gave nondescript's answer a thumbs-down is because it was incorrect. It has nothing to do with my opinion, which is irrelevant. But the facts speak for themselves:
1. It's true that Paul's writings DO pre-date most of the New Testament. It's thought that Paul's writings were created around 58 A.D., and the earliest book of the Bible, Mark, wasn't written until about 60 A.D. However, Paul DOES mention many of Jesus's teachings, and he DOES talk about Jesus's miracles. He also mentions meeting with other disciples.
2. The authorship of the Gospels is known because of the earliest Christian traditions. They accepted, as early as the late 1st century, that the gospels were, in fact, written by Jesus's disciples, two of His brothers (James and Jude), and Paul. I think if it was NOT true, they would have known better than we do now.

People can give their opinions all they want, but if they want to use "facts" as compelling arguments, they should make sure they really ARE factual.

One good argument is the "christians" who gave everyone here who tried to answer you a thumbs down, they are fearful and weak.

Well for starters, why do people believe in God just because someone wrote a story book about him? Then they have the nerve to question non believers, the burden of proof falls on the claimant, not the dubious. Furthermore, Christ was Jewish and followed Jewish faith, why do Christians not follow Christ, instead they make up their own holidays with Pagan traditions like easter. If you wanted to be like Christ, wouldnt you follow the holidays he did?

Christians believe in the trinity: Father (God), son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost. How can that be called monotheism? This is one of the reasons that Muslims and a lot of Asians reject Chrisianity.

Did you search the database first? There are millions of them, rather literally millions.

The biggest one I can see is the whole concept of hell and eternal damnation. It creates an image of an unjust, cruel God who does not seem worth worshiping. And it denies the ability of a human mind to decide on a more rational basis what they will or will not consider to be right.

There are many different Christian creeds, with many different moral standards, and they can't all be right. Yet they claim to worship the same god. There's something wrong somewhere.

Nondescript - I agree with you and am sad to see thumbs down just because people don't want to see the facts for what they are. Faith is a powerful thing, but facts are able to be proven.

Gregg - "why do people believe in God just because someone wrote a story book about him?" HARRY POTTER IS REAL!!1!!!!1!!!one1!

There are several contradictions in the Bible, however, if being a Christian makes you more at peace and better as a human being overall, then proceed to follow your path.

The scriptures is so errant that you can find a verse, continue reading, and find something that directly contradicts it. You can do this literally hundreds of times. Check out my sources.
