Here's mine:
1970s: Sanford & Son - Fred Sandford is a hoot and Lamont is the perfect straight man.
Favorite Quote - "I'm comin' to join you, Elizabeth!"
1980s: Quantum Leap - Scott Bakula was perfect as Dr. Sam Beckett and made his character both likeable and funny; I also loved the concept of the show. But seeing Bakula in a dress? Priceless!
Favorite Quote - "Oh, boy...."
1990s: Seinfeld - Classic comedy with some of the best (and most bizzare) storylines in all of sitcom land; it'll be on TV until the Earth blows up!
Favorite Quote - "What is that, a Titleist?"
2000s: 24 - This has to be the most intense drama on TV; and its concept can't be beat. Plus, Kiefer is perfect as Jack Bauer, arguablely the greatest dramatic figure on television.
Favorite Quote - "If you don't tell me what I want to know, then it'll just be a question of how much you want it to hurt."
Cheers!! :)

1970's Quincy was entertaining and imformative at the same time! Starsky and Hutch was just plain fun with hunks!
1980's Little house on the Prairie for family entertainment!
1990's Babylon 5 for good sci-fi!, and StargateSG1 for the same reason!
2000's So many to choose from so far! StargateAtlantis for one, Dresden files! Raines! Eureka and Jericho! Law and Order SVU , and L&O Criminal Intent! all very good shows to either escape reality, or get a good dose of it!
Good Question!!

In the 70's- All in the Family it was fresh, groundbreaking and funny
In the 80's- The Facts Of Life. I was the same age as those girls and could identify with them.
In the 90's- I loved 20/20 because I was hooked on newsmagazines
