So with everything that Happened yesterday in Cali. Do you think that Gordon and Johson will get the samething deduction in points, Crew Chiefs being suspended and fined, as both Micheal Waltrip and Dale Jr have been this year??

I believe that they will be, it will probably be the same fine...

Sorry I didn't put Kurt in there because his should have been a lot worse..

and by the way all JR had on his car was a wing bracet that Nascar issued earlier in the year and by the time they used that car, they didn't like that one anymore.

Now now you know they willnot have any punishment. This minor error was a simple misunderstanding of the rules(just like the improper mounted shock at Daytona).
They have received their penilty Friday not being allowed on the track, so everything is done.
Personnally to stop this sort of "grey"area misunderstanding is to load thes 2 teams into their haulers and send back to Charlotte.

They won't get anything near what Kurt Busch got--he was docked 100 driver points, which knocked him back to 17th. Gordon and Johnson will get a fine and public bashing. Their defense is that it is the car of tomorrow and they would be right--they are all adjusting to a new kind of car. I don't think that JR should have had the crap done to him as it was on the car of tomorrow also. Kenseth was not. HOWEVER--there should be "levels" of offense--for instance---1st offense, a fine. 2nd a fine and points, 3rd suspension, fine and points, 4th disqualify from remaining races, fine, and points removed.

What they did was not as severe as Michael Waltrip, but they should have the same penalty as Jr. I think Jimmie's should be a lot worse, because this is his fourth or fifth time getting caught cheating. If you think Jr. was cheating with that "illegal" bracket that was given to them earlier in the season. Then why isn't this cheating.

No, I don't believe they would have the same fine - Larry McReynolds said himself that what they did wasn't cheating. With the other car, teams had a lot more freedom with the front fender of the car. Both Jimmie and Jeff's car's both fit the template. NASCAR didn't like how they looked. I don't believe they'll fine them as much - they already have bad starting positions and no one has won Infineon from the back.

Kenseth had the same done to him for a lesser violation...lets see how consistent nascar is gonna be or if old hendricks is gonna buy them out of it? They should be penalized the same as the rest were. I am not blaming the drivers, but someone other than the chiefs knew what was happening, perhaps MR Hendricks?

I think they'll get the same as Jr, if not worse. The NASCAR inspector said the infraction was unprecedented. But, I find it hard to beleive that widening your fenders is worse than putting jet fuel in your tank, or putting a extra large gas tank in your car.

And don't forget, the cars fit the template that NASCAR uses. So, if NASCAR gives them a stiffer penalty than they did Mikey or Jr, that will be BS.

I doubt that anything else will happen, because of the fact that the cars fit the template. The only way that there can be more penalties would be if Nascar changed the rules to fit the supposed crime.

OK lets get something straight.......This is a new car and ALL the teams are working on modifications........they didnt know that they couldnt go that far in that area.......they dominate any way so they werent cheating because why would they do that when they are in the top of the board of points!!!!! They shouldnt be penalized because Nascar needed to make the templates more clear on what was ok to do!!!!

I hope so. I dont like either of them. They are both cheaters and i cant believe that jr is going to hendrick knowing that they cheat.
