Most teaching on Baptism comes from individual denomination because the Bible is not dogmatic on Baptism. We do know from the Bible that baptism has nothing to do with your salvation and whether or not you go to heaven. You get to heaven by your faith and belief in Jesus Christ and your confession that Jesus will be your Lord. (Romans 10:9-10) I do not think there is any necessity for you to be baptized, but it is something that you can do if you want. The important thing is do you believe in Jesus Christ and are you willing to make Him the Lord of your life?

I would like to recommend that you study the BIBLE, and find the things that you love the most about GOD, JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. Read the book of Acts, notice it carefully, as it has an accurate record of the history of the actions of the disciples, and Paul. You will read a story about some believers that were baptised by John the Baptist. they were then baptised by the HOLY SPIRIT. what is the difference? read it and see. The most important fact you will want to use in choosing a church is their belief system and how accurate is it to the WORD OF GOD. The closest I have found so far is the 7th-day Adventst church.Their one unique truth is the Sanctuary System. They don't sacrifice animals but teach how the Lamb of GOD is JESUS. How that tells us of GOD's grace, love, and the tremendous affects of sin on us, and why it is so harmful. They also share many beliefs with other denominations. Just look at the BIBLE to compare.. to the law and the testimony, if they speak n ot according to these words it is because their is NO LIGHT in them..

Hmmm....where to begin. First, with your initial question, "will i got to hell if I am not baptized?" No. Baptism is a public profession of faith once a person has chosen to become a Christian. It does seem like you are a bit confused about what a Christian is though. I think you are on the right track, but have gotten tangled up in religion more than anything else. Being a Christian simply means that you realize you are a sinner, and you are in need of a savior. That is where Jesus comes into the picture. The bible is true, and God-inspired, and does teach about right and wrong. Check out Matthew 5-7

I feel your confusion, I do not see you as daft.
Having read the Bible and found it is right for you, you think your a Christian.
A course of action would be - find out which Church is right for you by going to the others - there are plenty to choose from. The Churches like Catholic, Methodist etc, are there for those who need them, they may not suit you.
I could be wrong there because Im an atheist and so baptisem is meaningless to me.
When you have found your Church, then get baptized into that one.
As for going to hell if you are not baptized. If you have genuinely searched and found them all wanting; if you have lived your life in the light of the bible and believed in God and Christ - how can a loving god reject you.
By the way its CoE = Church of England.

Hi, I think you have got a little confused, but no worries. Firstly, you do not have to be baptised to be a christian, so stop worrying about that straight away! If you aren't sure if you are a christian or not, then I suggest you may not be, but it's between you and God.. A christian is a person who has accepted Jesus as their personal saviour, and repented of their sins. Jesus died to pay the price for our sins, so acceptance of him is the only way.
As for churches, it looks like you need a church that will support you in your search. I can recommend the new frontiers churches, please cut and paste www.newfrontiers.xtn.org and look for a church near you. I strongly recommend you do an alpha course too, which teaches the basics of the faith without you having to become a christian, it's non threatening and very friendly. Believe me, you can ask anything, they will understand.
For reading, if going to church seems scary, try 'the shock of your life' by Adrian Holloway, it is aimed at teenagers but can be useful for all.
To explore if the Bible is reliable, try ' why trust the Bible' by Amy Orr-Ewing.
For details of alpha courses near you, www.alpha.org.
I hope you find yourself among friends who will look after you soon

Please don't worry. I am a Christian. I follow Christian values and beliefs, I attend Church more than once a week and I am raising my daughter as a Christian BUT.....................I too have never been baptised/christened when I was younger. But I can probably honestly say, I am more of a Christian than most of the baptised ones I know.
I will get baptised, my daughter and I will have a joint ceremony but when I know the church and people around me are the correct people to carry out such a blessing.
I know I am not going to hell. I have accepted Jesus and God into my heart and have had them there for many years.
You need to do what's feels right by you.
Go and speak to a Priest about your fears.

if you dont know your going to heaven then your not the only way is to ask the Lord into your heart. The bible is the truth an the light it is 100% correct, baptist an methodist just translate it a little different but still have the same beliefs you don't have to be baptised to go to heaven you just have to be Saved, baptism is just a way of showing others you have accepted the lord

Being baptised has nothing to do with being saved. Baptism is just showing everyone else that you have attcepted God. I'm not always sure of churches either. There are some good ones you just have to search. The three things to believe to be saved are that Jesus is Gods son, He died and rose again. If you ever need to talk feel free to email me. I have my beliefs but if there is something in it you don't agree on that's ok. I won't try to force it on you...just talk

Firstly, being baptised doesn't make you a Christian, and not having been baptised won't keep you from heaven.
Now, you said you've read the Bible. Do you believe in Jesus? His birth, death, resurrection? A Christian is one who believes these things
Keep reading the Bible for yourself, so you know what it says yourself.
A good church to attend would be one that teaches the Bible

Not at all. I disagree with infant baptism anyway. I wasn't christened or baptised as a baby either because my parents chose the pentecostal church where my sister went to Sunday school (it was closest to where we lived apparently).
As a Christian, my understanding is that you believe first and are then baptised as it is the public statement of a private conviction.
I was baptised when I was about 19, I became a Christian when I was 17.
God is not into guilt. You are free to choose to believe or not, you are free to be baptised or not but to get into Heaven, you must at least believe.
