That was the least of God's "wicked acts."
He destroyed practically the entire human race at one point, and commanded genocides many times afterwards. He was apparently especially fond of the mass slaughter of infants. If religious freaks want to argue that this was somehow warranted and necessary, it begs the question, because God decides what's necessary, doesn't He? The only conclusion is that "God" - the mythological God of the legendary biblical accounts - is a savage, bloodthirsty Monster.

OK, this is not really a question, and you may get reported for that violation. But you are either asking "is it true that . . ." or "why?"
Yes, it is true. There are a lot of hurtful things in the Bible which are attributed to God. But the why is a lot harder. Back in the days when the old testament, especially, was written, most gods were even more cruel and fierce than the Hebrew god was reported to be. Most religious ritual consisted of placating, propitiating these fierce gods. So the Hebrews' reporting of their god's nasty habits, such as making Eve pay for what was apparently a fairly simple disobedience, like a child might do out of sheer curiosity, was not considered any big deal. And it had the effect of explaining why there is so much pain involved in childbirth, at least to the minds of people of that age.
Now that we know more about anatomy and so on, we know that it is because the heads of babies continue to evolve larger in order to accommodate a larger and more complex brain, and the woman's pelvis has not evolved to keep up with it because there is a limit beyond which she is not considered attractive and is not selected to be a wife and mother.
So don't blame eve, blame your forefathers who wanted slim wives! Men in less "developed" cultures tend to find broad hips attractive for precisely that reason; more room for a large, healthy baby.

There are always consequences along with discipline for wrong-doing and Eve was definitely in the wrong by her actions of turning away from her LIFE-GIVER, the Holy Heavenly Father, by disobeying the ONE command from her Father.
Then, of course, she blamed the serpent(SATAN) and Adam blamed Eve AND his Father and never even tried to apologize.
They deserve it.
