NO!!! It just causes you to burn. Worst case, you'll wind up with
skin cancer. But even if it doesn't go that far, you'll hit your 30's &40's looking like a dried up hunk of beef jerky. Not pretty. You only need to look at Donatella Versace to see the damage that bad tanning choices cause. If you have to tan, do it gradually, and moisturize like crazy.

This is a bad idea. You will burn horribly. When I was younger, I tried veggie oil, baby oil(with iodine), and butter. All with the same results (Burned with blisters). You are better off using nothing than any of these items.

Light is used for tanning
vegetable oil is not used for tanning
Vegetable oil will make you greasy,
it will block some sunshine
