Let's see Im 20 and work at a movie theater.( i clean the theaters) so I must have it up in a pony tail. I have med to tan skin, chocolate color eyes, deep chocolate hair. My mom is the one who drives me to work. I dont know how to drive yet.
I really have very thick hair. I got the shine already. Will a cut help, or a trim or something else. Plz help

If your hair is really "too big", you should have it texturized in a salon, That will make it look less volume. Do not cut it short if you have to keep the ponytail for work. Now, if you want a change, get a FEW highlights, not blond, because of your skin tone, but I would make you pick between caramel (light brownish warm) or copper. It is very nice on a chocolate background. NO big chunks. Just a medium weave on the top crown, falling over the rest. Coming back to the cut, no layer, it is a lot of maintenance if you want it looks good, plus it takes time to grow back to one length when you change your mind, But I would definitely do some framing on the sides of your face, not too short.

just tell your hairdresser to razor lots of layers into it. and bangs are really in if you dont have them already.
