I would argue against the contention of the house.

There is simply no way long term success can be achieved without a strong moral and ethical base. (Unless you do something criminal, like robbing a bank.) You need the cooperation of some people, often a large number of people to achieve success, and this is actually much easier to do when they believe in your vision and your values.

Your statement suggests “money” equals success. I personally don’t believe that money spells success for everyone but using your suggestion, look at Hollywood celebrities, and people in sports – and even politicians. They have no morals or ethics, yet they are some of the wealthiest (successful) people in the world.

As for me, I was “successful” at “being able” to get out of bed today and I am grateful.
