Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.

Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies.

Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.

Then we build a wall on the US side of the mote. We could even use some of that dirt to make bricks to build the wall - sun baked ones.

We already have the ability to monitor the area from the sky via satellites. If we see any activity, we just send a plane along the border to drop permanent dyes to discolor their skin - kind of like marking them so that we know if they tried to sneak in.

No more tunneling, no more running or driving across the border.

Where would the cheap labor come from? Well the illegals of course. They can pay off their fines for crossing the border illegally before being deported. Add the labor of nonviolent criminals already in prison and we could have this built in a heartbeat!

Let's help our border patrol and secure our borders now!

If the illegals escape into Mexico while working - well I guess we don't have to worry about deporting them.

To make sure the prisoners don't escape, they have ankle monitors with sensors to locate them - like with house arrests.

1) You can't build a moat through mountains and across canyons, the Mexican-American border is not a nice, pastoral setting, it cuts through some of the most rugged mountain, canyon land in North America.

2) There's a lot of poor, hungry people on both sides of the border, gators are easy to catch, good to eat and their hides are worth a lot of money, especially in Mexico.

3) Why is it that everyone that says immigrants are taking jobs from Americans always suggest using immigrants to build the moat/wall. Shouldn't we put Americans to work first?I mean, if you ask me to build a wall to keep me out of something, that's going to be a pretty weak wall.

Suggestions that I have seen more than once. I am infavor of ANYTHING that will keep the border secure - be it wall, fence, more manpower, planes, any approach that will put a stop to these massive influx of people that enter this country illegally.

First, I would just love to see those in political office to just do what what they swore to uphold when they took their oath of office - the laws of this land.

How any can suggest making changes to laws that are not being enforced - and keep saying that they are 'not working' when they have never been put to work is insane!

Very resourceful!! Use the bad for good. The moat could start wth the Rio Grande...Start getting the Illegals to make the bricks now.
Using criminals is a good idea except, we can't see illegals coming in, how can we watch jailbirds so they don't escape?

One problem is that Americans are too kind and humane to these barbaric animals. Once they sneak across we humanely try to accommodate them. Our border rule for people entering illegally should be "shoot to kill". If they make it into the city, give NO aid, no education, no welfare, no food stamps, no job, no shelter, NOTHING! We don't want them filling up our jobs, hospitals, schools, courts, raising the crime rate, stealing, drug running, or destroying decent neighborhoods with their filthy ways of living....they don't even know what to do with toilet paper. The cavemen on the Geico commercial are more educated than these vermin.

The cost to deport them should be "0", they walked in, they can walk out, no free rides! Chain gang them together and point them south and they can walk their feet off going back home to their beloved cesspool--Mexico.

Sorry, but NOTHING will stop illegal immigration except eliminating the reason they come here. Jobs and money. What would work is changing our laws to guarantee that no business would be willing to hire illegals. We should make the penalties for hiring a person that the company SHOULD have known was illegal to say $2,000 per day worked, or total forfeiture of the business.

Answer: The wall funded last October, if ever built would be a good start.
I agree with you! First secure the border! Then we can actually address the rest of the mess!
You wait! Some fool will attempt to confuse a wall to keep people in with a barrier to keep invading criminal aliens working for a state sponsored invasion OUT!

That "moat" thing probably won't work. Seems you already have one called the Rio Grande and they're still making it across.

A lot of different things would work - if we can just get somebody to act!

Better solution:
1. employers simply not hiring them
2. property management simply not renting to them
3. car dealers simply not selling to them
4. mortgage lenders simply not lending to them
5. credit companies simply not giving them credit
6. grocery stores that have cards requiring citizenship or they have to pay the regular prices
7. schools not letting their kids attend

So now they can't work, find anywhere to live, get a car, loans, or can't buy groceries unless they pay full prices, which they can't aford unless they have jobs. Their kids cannot get into schools.

This would cost nothing, and be within the laws that are already in place RIGHT NOW- and we would not even have to pay for them to be deported, they would go home on their own. And they would be glad to.
