Well, while I advise against online relationships as I don't believe these are real relationships, I would say in this situation, you most likely have no choice in the matter but to wait. I have no knowledge of the laws in the Phillipines nor in Australia, but I can tell you that if you can't get a visa, you're pretty much out of luck. So, if you guys can wait, good luck. However, more than likely, this sort of thing won't work out that long, & you should probably both move on to find other people with whom you can have local relationships. Without the physical side of the relationship, especially for him, this will likely never amount to anything. Sorry to be such a downer, but realistically, your it is your best course of action, as a real relationship will be much healthier for you than one online.

First of all, he's not your boyfriend, he's a penpal. If you met and spent an hour together you'd have some basis for the use of the term 'boyfriend'; or, if you married him and then kept in touch by email, he'd still be your husband; as it stands, you just write and chat a lot. You are friends. There's been no culmination of the boyfriend-girlfriend relationship and therefore it exists only in your mind...buy a plane ticket and make it official!

I don't blame your parents for not letting you go to a foreign country to meet someone you've only met online. And you're obviously pretty young judging from what you wrote. Your best bet is to get webcams and chat that way until you're 18, have moved out of your parents' homes and can afford tickets on your own.

as soon as you are 18 you can do what you want to do, even if your parents do not approve. I am just unsure how you can be in love with someone you have never met or seen in person. how do you know that the person to whom you've been speaking all this time, is really the one in the pics (I am sure he has sent you pics) you need to be really careful and if it is for your fist visit, having never seen him, make him come to you, this is not being sexist - nothing against the guys out there - but you are obviously young and this is much safer.

How can he be your boyfriend if you've never met him? ... Before you start calling this guy your boyfriend or make wedding plans I really think you should get to know this guy in person. You never know what people are really like unless you hang out with them for a while.

You don't have to wait to graduate college, as soon as you turn 18 you can see each other. It's the law that you have the right to go wherever you want.

This so called "boyfriend" could just be another computer whizz kid or a sick paedophile. In fact it could be any one its best not to meet.
