I admit to being shocked to hear, from a senior UK police officer, that the filth receive financial inducements for child molesting.

I always thought that giving traffic wardens financial incentives for achieving targets was wrong because it leads to lies and false evidence, but this is true evil.

The Uk is, according to UNICEF, the country that treats its children worse than any of the richer countries in the world.
After this admission, our country's treatment of children must be near the level of Hitler's treatment of the Jews!

No wonder that, where I come from, the police are called
' THE FILTH'!

I understand that their child molesting bonuses are paid at Christmas. I wish all officers a shitty Christmas! You really are filth!

I have difficulty accepting any uninformed or informed comment from anyone who did not see the programme. I'm sure that the guy who made it made sure that it clearly reflected his opinion. As to locking up children being 'stressful'. Go to hell.

pps.

I cannot understand why serving police officers always take the bait of my rants.
They must feel VERY guilty.

Realist should get real.

I may be a dangerous nutter but the programme was factual and very worrying. The UNICEF report is FACT. Get real or my Korean friends will visit you!

Well, I didn't see the programme but I think I know where you are coming from - let me explain where you have got mixed up....
Various roles within the police service attract what is called 'special priority payments'. These vary from Force to Force but usually include officers who work on child abuse (CAIT) squads. The payments (yes, given at Christmas) can be up to £1200 and go to those in jobs where there is a lot of stress, responsibility and /or hard to fill (I couldn't do child abuse work if you asked me).
So that's the payment bit....
Prof Rod Morgan (a very nice man whom I have worked with on robbery reduction) takes the view that some of the powers that police have to deal with anti-social behaviour and the like are draconian and 'abuse' children. I think that's putting it a little strongly, but I do have problems with the target setting ethos of this government which reduces the ability of police officers to use their discretion.
Whereas in the past the 'bobby' might have told little Jimmy to go home and behave himself s/he is now expected by their supervisors to issue a ticket / get the evidence for an ASBO etc just so that they can get the figures the government want to see. It's wrong and many police officers, myself included, are against it.
So no, we don't get bonuses for abusing children - you've got the two parts of the story a little mixed up.

I saw the programme. It was certainly an eye-opener...It was actually a Professor, ex head of the Youth Justice Board...left the service of the 'government' because of their ridiculous introduction of 'targets' for figures concerning 'harassment' (I myself have present experience of this), ASBOs and arrests. In one part of the country they'd gone up 60% in the past 4 years...As Prof. Rod (can't remember surname) said, child abuse in any sane person's eyes. Now I know why they're after me for no good reason and why I've suffered their brutal mental and physical treatment.

Although the programme focused on treatment of children (including an 11 year old boy who was locked in a cell on many occasions, up to 24 hours at a time for no reason), this is obviously also happening to the adult population too, and I stand bitter witness to this...

I should have taped this programme, as I will certainly be quoting it when I go to the police station to give my 'taped interview'. They haven't mentioned it, but whenever I see it on the television, they always have a solicitor with them...I'll make sure I'm properly prepared. I wonder who will actually have the bonus (up to £1200) on account of me, perhaps each of them (now quite a few).

As a point of interest, I am in touch with the 'professional standards' dept. of this force - apparently officers are not obliged to respond when a complaint is brought against them, interesting, huh? George Orwell should have written '2007'...

Seem to have a bit of a thing about Police bashing...well never mind...didn't actually see the programme, and if you had bothered to outline what the programme was about maybe you would get some sensible answers...are you saying they pay the Police to molest children..where, In deprived areasperhaps but never where I have lived...or are you saying that we are all Nazis and comparing us to Hitlers Germany??
I don't know where you are from...I presume its a deprived area as you seem to think that everyone treats their children in a depraved way...I didn't nor do my own children treat my grandchildren in such a way....
I suggest you read and research a bit more instead of having a rant.

There was a time in the not too distant past, when it was all the rage to say the Police were paid too much and should be on performance related pay...now it seems some are, more complaints...I don't know what you do...but do you not get a Christmas bonus...if you have a job that is.

May be there is a network which promotes children in such a way that some UK men can't resist. It is actually a mental disease and these men should go for psychiatric care. Actually it is misuse of power. Something like you have to strip naked in the New Zealand airport.

Wow... one programme of a controversial nature, you believe every word as though it's gospel, and at the very least you've misinterpreted the financial inducements for child molesting bit.
You make it sound like the police are doing the molesting, and I find that particularly amusing.
Go on, tell me to go to hell. That'd be really, really scary!
You nugget.

You are very obviously an inbred and very anti-police. Do you (as the moron you are) believe everything you read or everything you watch? You must do.

You don't know what work the Police do to catch criminals (of all kinds) and they certainly don't get paid bonuses to work harder. The whole of the police force is on a regimented pay structure, meaning performance enhanced pay does not happen. You are a complete idiot.
