Ok, I will try to make this short and to the point.....I am in the final process of my divorce and as many who have gone through this hell on Earth, it has made me take complete stock of my life and the people in it. During this process I have realized that I am in love with the my best female friend of 11 years. Its not much of a realization as I have known this for a long time but because of the way our lives have unfolded I never acted on it. I have always played it off and I really think that she would be shocked if I were to tell her. She lives 3 hours from me and has an incredible life where she lives and I am unable to move due to my family and job. We are often in contact with each other (not as frequent as I would like) So the question is should I take a chance on letting her know how I feel? I f so how do I do it?

We both have careers that have reqired a lot of commitment and either one of us picking up and leaving would mean major changes in our lives. That is not a big deal for me, but I have a 3 year old son that I could never move away from so that is what keeps me where I am at. She has a great job and some really great friends where she lives and has made a great life for herself there, I do not see her moving back home,

....These situations can change when bringing in other opinions and brainstorming. What you See is dead end might actually be openings from other points of view. Try posting in the questions again, but be specific about the exact nature of the situations around locals and jobs.

A far as whether or not she might be interested in you, let me categorically state that if you don;t ask, you'll never know. But all the romance does not turn into a workable situation,. Only ironing out the kinks will allow that, and that itself might take a loot of planning.

Nothing is impossible.
