Do you feel malice towards anyone? Who? What do you think of this quote?

"From morning until night and from night until morning
keep your heart free from malice towards anyone.

A perfect Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands mankind is safe.

Islam is purity of speech and hospitality"

I think malice and hatred are bad for the "soul", that is they can eat away at it if you're not careful. Hence the phrase "consumed by anger".

Now, to answer honestly: Do I hate anyone? Yeah, I probably do, I have a hard time letting go of grudges against someone if they've really hurt me. Sometimes revenge works (yeah yeah, I'm the type of person who would go for vigilante justice under certain extreme situations and would not feel guilty about it), other times when that is not possible or not a good idea (which is most of the time), the best thing to do is let time work and just slowly try and forget. You know as they say, time mellows you out.

As for your quote I think it is beautiful and should apply to everyone, both Muslim and non. It truly would be a better world if no one hated anyone and everyone cared about each other. But we do not live in such a perfect world, but that shouldn't stop us from trying to make it better right? :)

Malice is horrible: it is a destructive poison for the soul and slowly eats away at it unless by the grace of God we choose to cleanse ourselves of it and make much striving to do so. Forgiveness is the remedy for this poison.

Revenge is not of Islam. That is a lovely Islamic quote. Let us hope and pray that Inshallah we will all purifiy ourselves of this destructive poison for none of us are purified of any poison or we would be like saints. The best thought always to take is that we have a long way to go and much poisononous thought to remove and always strive to do so. This is the way of Islam. Salam...Peace.

In anger, it is better to keep quiet so that u do not hurt anyone. That's what I try to do too. To keep quiet. and then if my anger is too much, I write it down on a piece of paper and then tear it apart. That way, I don;t hurt anyone.

As far as feeling malice towards anyone, I feel it when I m angry towards the said person.

Jesus also teaches us that if we don't forgive people who offended us God cannot forgive us.
