shes too young.
while starting to train at an early age is good, dont expect her to listen to much for another 4 weeks or so. and that is only with GOOD, consistent, persistant training.

A 7 week old pup is fascinated with everything around and at this point just wants to play. You need to spend lots of time with her for you to bond. Sit on the floor with her, encourage and lead her to do what you want. Use something that she likes to get her attention (toy, food) Definitely use a crate for her bed (they are den animals) and use the crate when you go out to keep her safe ( you put a baby in a crib or playpen to keep them safe)
A puppy is like a small child, love, persistence, routine and direction will pay off. Re-direct her attention and give her lots of love and affection and be consistent. Lots of repetition until she knows what you want from her. Don't let her do anything you wouldn't want a full grown dog to do. Make sure she has her own chew toys especially when teething so she won't chew your shoes or furniture. If she is biting you, yelp like another pup would, she will stop and then replace your hand with her appropriate toy.
Your breeder should be more than willing to help you or send me an email. I used to breed Chow's and Akita's

Its very important that you don't get flustered and lose your temper at this point. Leave the puppy be, take it out for potty time feed the pup and let it get use to the surroundings. A Boxer is a very smart breed any mistake in training it now (like jumping the gun) could really cause harm. Relax you have many, many years of training to go, don't try to teach her everything in the 1st 6 months!

She's a little too young to have been separated from her mother, so I'm assuming you just got her -- training is a slow, gradual process that takes a lot of time and patience. Don't forget, she has no idea what those strange sounds coming out of your mouth are! I'd check into a puppy class so she can get a head start on learning and socialization.
Good luck!

Your puppy has to learn more important things right now.Where is the food dish?Who is this new person. How to get along without her mom and littermates. Most places don't even start obedience training until 10 or 12 weeks old. I assume that you have a crate for her.If you don't ,get one. You'll need it to house train her. Maybe that's what you mean by won't listen. If you need some help with that, e-mail me.And don't listen to the people that say swat them or rub their nose in their mistakes.Makes them scared instead of training them.

okay first off this puppy is way too young to be away from his or her mother and she is not going to listen at that age ,you have to be patient with her and training takes time . I have a 9 mo old chihuahua and he did not start listening to us untill he was about 8 mos old . they have to be able to sit still and pay attention to you . good luck .
