Another Catholic basher. Your premise is wrong therefore your conclusion is wrong. Here is what we believe concerning salvation.
Faith justifies initially, but works perfect and complete our salvation. If all it takes to be saved is "to confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead" (Romans 10,9) then why must I change? Oh sure, I should change my sinful ways. I should try to please God. But if I don't does it really matter? My salvation is assured?
Salvation is a process of perseverance through faith, hope and love. Nowhere in Scripture does it say that one is justified or saved by "faith alone." On the contrary, man is not justified by faith alone. A person is justified by faith and works acting together, which comes solely from God's divine grace. Faith alone never obtains the grace of justification. Also, the word "justified" is the same word Paul uses for justification in Romans 4,3 in regard to Abraham (so Protestants cannot argue James is not referring to "justification" in James 2,24 unless they argue Paul wasn't either in Romans 4,3).
(See also: Luke 24,47; Acts 2,38, 3,19, 17,30; John 3,36; 2 Corinthians 10,15; 13,15; Galatians 5,6)
May the Lord's peace be with you!

Jesus said go and sin no more.(See John 8:1-11) When God forgives a sin it is remembered no more.(See Psalm 25:7, Isaiah 43:25, Jeremiah 31:34, Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews 10:17)(Read all of Ezekiel chapter 3) If we continue in sin and do not repent or return to sinful ways then our sins will be remembered.(see Psalm 109:1-14, Jeremiah 14:10, Ezekiel 21:24, Hosea 8:13, Hosea 9:9, Revelation 18:5) If we keep asking forgiveness for that sin it shows we do not have the faith or belief that God forgave. Do not continue to commit the sin. Follow God's commandments and live your life for him. Study His word every day so you will know what is expected of you.

Without suitable contrition for sin, along with a serious and authentic attempt at repentance, preferably made in and through the sacrament of reconciliation, God is under no obligation to forgive.

It is not true because the original sin has not been forgiven
AT ALL
we are struggling on this planet because of that according to catholics
in fact I believe in personal responsibility, so we shall all 'purify our karma' in order to return to original purity
obviously at that level no ordinary and material life (please!)
The Church does not explane enough how to be responsible for actions and remain at a superficial level counting on the 'forgiveness'
..............

The blood of Christ continually cleanses you of your sins, past, present and future. No one is perfect until raised. That doesn't give a person a license to sin-they shouldn't want to because of their salvation and gift from God. Believing in Christ causes God to see Jesus' perfection in you instead of your sin. This is called Justification. Christ paid for your penalty in your stead and bought you freedom from sin and death especially eternal death. This is called Redemption.

For non-Catholic Christians, you do not even have to be humble enough to go to a priest and confess your sins.

Paganism all wrapped up in cloak of Christianity.
You cant go on sinning with impunity after you come to Jesus .
Jesus said to Mary Madeleine, "neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more".
To call yourself a Christian, and go on living the same old lifestyle is taking the Lords name in vane.
The new Testament tells us that sin is a transgression of the Law.

Yes, Christians view Jesus as a "Get out of jail free!" card.
And I mean that literally.
I have personally witnessed Christian prosecuting attorneys allow criminals to stay out of jail simply because they were Christian and "Jesus will forgive them." Sadly, prosecuting attorneys are beyond the law for as long as they continue to be reelected by other Christians.
I don't care whether or not "Jesus will forgive them," that's still no excuse for allowing known child molesters to stay out of jail so that they can try to rape more children. Christians have a very demented sense of morality.

some catholics as do other non catholic christians hold this view. if one is well informed of the christian faith they will see it is untrue. there are many aspects to sin, many scenarios as to what catholics believe you will find in a catechism of the catholic church which will be in concordance with the bible and vice versa.
