don't eat eggs, chicken, and seafood. that will sometimes cause the lesions to be worse. Don't believe in the old saying that you should allow all the lesions to come out. After this, you'll be immune to it for life even if you only have a few lesions. And, try to be in a dry room (with air condition turned on). And try not to be in contact with other people because you're contagious until all the lesions are dry.

I contracted the pox for the first time in my early twenties and I couldn't hold anything don. The word egg itself made me vomit. if you can eat, more power to ya'! I wouldn't focus on food though, just lots of liquids and cool compresses so you don't end up scratching of one of the ones on your face. It could really ruin your appearance if our not carefull. keep the scabs moist so they don't dry out and get "itchy."
