i have a 92 E that was passed down to me... since I have had it the a/c has never worked. Neither does the front defroster or the heater.
If I turn it on by the controller, I can hear that its turning on (Im hearing it power on, I supposed you would say: Im not hearing actual air/fan).
Someone suggested to me that they were pretty certain it was my blower motor that was out, because thats what would affect all three (heater, defrost, ac). I had my mechanic I go to check it out.. and he cleaned it out and put it back in, to see if that would work.
It worked for literally a day and then stopped.. since, I bought a used one from a junkyard, but my mechanic put it in and it's not working. Now the place I bought from tests all parts before sending...

so is there a chance that it could be something else, and if so any ideas what? Or does anyone here know for certainty that it is the blower motor...and maybe the one I got in the mail was damaged during shipping or something..

I doubt the blower motor is damaged, most likely it works just fine. Try having the blowers' relay checked or the fuse. If the fuse is busted, have the wiring checked first before changing it to see if there are any grounded wires. If the blower does not have any relay, have one installed so the blower won't stress the wires over the demand of current, since the blower uses more electricity than other accessories in your car.

One little test the big blue with red wire and white wire at the fan plug see them? Unplug that connector one wire has power all the time remember which one... the other wire grounds thru three sizes of resistors. stick your test lught inot the back side on that plug the non powered wire hook twist around the probe on the test light a jumper wire and ground it to metal around the glove box or that screw on the door brake. Fan motor should start up and blow junk into your eyes from the vents (be Careful) Now go get a blower resistor "that thing held in the bottom of the blower case with two phillips screws and a four or five wire connector on it" After the new blower resistor is installed the fan speed switch should ground the motor on each speed. Let me know how it turns out...
