Many Persons say that all good people go to heaven. However when asked why they go to heaven, they may say:'It is to be with God,' or 'It is the reward for being good.' What does the Bible teach about this?
The Bible makes it clear that Jesus was raised from the dead and that he went to heaven. Also, it says that other humans would be taken there. On the night before his death, Jesus told his faithful apostles:"the house of my Father there are many abodes. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going my way to prepare a place for you. Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will receive you home to myself, that where I am you also may be."(John14:"1-3). Clearly Jesus was telling his apostles that thjey would be taken to heaven to be with him. The apostle Paul often told early Christians about that wonderful hope. For example, he wrote:"As forus, our citizenship exists in the heavens, from which place also we are eagerly waiting for a saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ."(Philippians3:20,21 ; Romans6:5 ; 2Corinthians5:1,2) Based oromises millions of persons set their hearts on heavenly life. Yet will all good persons go to heaven?
Shortly after Jesus was raised from the dead, the apostle Peter told a crowd of Jews:"The family head David....both deceased and was burried and his tomb is among us to this day".
Actually David did not ascend to the heavens.(Acts2:29,34) So the good man David did not go to heaven.What about the righteous man Job?
While suffering, Job prayed to God:"O that in Sheol(the grave) you would conceal me, that you would keep me secret until your anger turns back, that you would set a time limit for me and remember me!" Job expected that when he died he would become unconscious in the grave. He knew he would not go to heaven. But he had hope, as he explained:"If an ablebodied man dies can he live again? All the days of my compulsory service [appointed time in the grave] I shal wait until my relief comes. You will call, and I myself will answer you." (Job14:13-15). When Jesus was on earth, which was over4,000 years after the rebellion of Adam and Eve, he said:"No man has ascended into heavenbut he that descended from heaven, the Son of man".(John3:13) Therefore, according to Jesus' own words, no man had gone to heaven for all those 4,000 years of human history down until his day. David, Job, and John the Baptizer will receive a resurrection to life on earth. In fact, all faithful men and women who died before Jesus died had the hope of living again on the earth, not in heaven. They will be resurrected to become some of the earthly subjects of God's kingdom.(Psalm72:7,8 ; Acts17:31)Why did Jesus go to heaven? What work does he have to do there? The answers to these questions are important. This is because those who go to heaven will share with Jesus in his work. They go to heaven for that very purpose.The earth was created for humans to live on it forever(Isaiah45:18 ; Psalm37:11,29) Heaven is a place for God and the angels to live.(1Kings8:43)

All the good people come back to earth from heaven, at the end of the age.

They receive brand new resurrection bodies.

God renovates the present world, too.

Then everybody lives with God on earth, which is then the new heaven and the new earth.

Everyone who is there is there willingly, under God's government, and willingly subject to him, so all of them are, by definition, "meek" and they will all inherit the earth as their dwelling place, for eternity.

everyone thinks when you die you go to heaven. not true. only the 144,000 anointed by Jehovah God go to heaven. Jehovah never changed his mind about living forever on a paradise earth that Adam and Eve lost. if everyone was going to heaven, why did Jehovah God put us on earth, to grow old, get sick and die, just to go back to heaven. Jesus Christ resurrected Lazarus when he fell asleep in death, if Lazarus was in heaven , he would of said something about it. Jesus knew that Lazarus was not in heaven because what kind of friend would Jesus Christ be if he brought Lazarus back to earth just to die again to go to heaven again? of course earth will not be with wicked people anymore or the devil. he will be locked up for a long time then will be let lose for a little while and then good bye to the devil and his demons. it will be paradise on earth forever and ever and the meek will inherit the earth. thanks to Jehovah God and Jesus Christ who died for us so we could live forever. no more sickness, old age or death anymore. if you want to learn more visit a kingdom hall or www.watchtower.org

The Bible itself teaches that only 144000 faithful men and women go to heaven to rule with Christ as kings and priests over the earth.(Rev.14:1-4)
The rest of obedient mankind have the opportunity to reside forever on a cleansed earth,with eternal life as their final reward(Ps37:9-11,29;Pr2:21;
Rev21:3,4)

What is good? There is none good except God. All our righteous actions are as filthy rags before Yahweh. Not all "good" people go to heaven, only those who have trusted that Christ took the punishment for their rebellion against God and commit their lives to following Jesus and His teachings--both Old and New Testaments.
