No. The B.S. is a designer of hardware and software. The B. Tech. is an assembler or technician.

If you are from India and taking about Indian Degree, then B.Tech and B.E. degrees are better than BS degree. But do not take any degree at its face value. Look at the college, their faculty, laboratory facility, placement etc. before taking a plunge.

For example B.Tech is awarded by IITs but B.Tech is also awarded by many private colleges.

When you go for job or higher education, they would look at the college not merely if your degree is B.Tech or B.E.

Go for B.Tech if you are doing it from india. However, BITS Pilani has started B.S. course in com science, than go for B.S. otherwise B.Tech is better than B.S. in india.

there is a difference b/w BS(comp. sci.) & b.tech(comp. sci.)........b.tech is a technical course which teaches hardware whereas bs(comp. sci.) is more related to languages of computers

No there's a great difference. B.E. or B.tech. is a more recognised course.
