You are more open and that is great! there is nothing wrong with having more then one belief but there might be problems along the way if they interact and mess with each other a bit because then your going to have to choose one. Example, if holidays are on both days; which would you pick? and if you were talking to someone about life and religion; which religion would you be taking more points out from? also what if another religion interests you? its going to eventually be too much to handle because religions always come with rules and regulations, can you handle it?

I admire you and hope that all goes well!

People today would tell you it's OK to mix different religions because people have been doing it all these centuries. This the reason why there are so many "spin-offs" from the actual religions like Christianity, Islam, Buddhism.
Honestly, like the Bible says: "You can't serve two masters at the same time." You have to make a choice to serve only one.

Although the "Whatever floats your boat" theory, sounds good. Your Christian background and your buddist beliefs will contradict. As a buddist you will strive to do good and under your own power become a good hearted individual. This would be the Good Works will earn you heaven idea. This will contradict what your chistianity tells you, since faith that Christ died for your sins and trusting in him as your savior, is the only true source of salvation.

So you can either believe you can save yourself (buddist) or you can believe that Crist lived the perfect life and died on the cross that we might all have eternal life(christianity).

Take the good ones and neglet others.

In all religion rituals are different but the core is the same.

I dont think its strange to be like that.
Following one religion blindly may not be helpful.

If You know all the religions and their teachings, then there is a possiblity that you may understand your own religion in a better way.

It can sort of work if you don't believe either one 100%. Like two gods only Budhism isn't really about worshipping a God as living a life of simplicity. Science is about using reasoning more than being devoted to God. They're not completely different.

I say that with your frame of mind at present you are somewhat confused and do not know how to put it together. Try to work out what 'religion' is as distinct from part aspects of some of its rational - which can be similar reflections that show up across many religions and schools of thought.

Peace

No. It is not at all unusual to have many different beliefs or mix and match certain beliefs from different religionts. Some may think that your mixed beliefs are contradicting or "stupid". But it only comes down to what you believe and nobody else.

one or the other how can you be loyal to one and not the other. God says there shall be no other gods before me. So if you are a budhist you are breaking that commandment... Cant ride the fence

i may be wrong but i think that you just like the idea of these religions so you consider yourself that..... but these are 2 totally different religions. there's only one truth out there....you need to choose which you believe. but beware if you go chasing fantasies because they seem fun or cool you will regret it one day. one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess who the true God is. i hope you have chosen the right path by then.

Seems strange to me. How can you have two belief systems? You must not truly believe either?? It sounds like you are just into tradition and not true faith. If that is the case I guess it's fine. I will be praying for you to find true faith.
