American law is based upon the Constitution not upon religious laws. Although Christians do not believe homosexual acts are good and will express our views we accept the right of others to choose their lifestyle. Just because we accept their right to choose does not mean we accept it as right.

Are you serious? You can't prohibit something that is naturally occuring. That's like trying to outlaw people with blue eyes. It can't be done. And if homosexuals keep being born, and have been born throughout time, and will continue to be born in the future, and all people are created by God (as Christians believe) then wouldn't it be safe to assume that God has accepted homosexuality? Just food for thought.

Unfortunately, a small, noisy minority of Americans would like to do exactly that.
However...
In America there is a pretty widespread belief that people should be allowed to be who they are as long as it doesn't harm anyone. That's one reason why people all over the world would like to be here.

It is the land of the free, as long as no one is hurting anyone else then they are tolerated. To have freedom we tolerate things we might not like and others have to tolerate things about you they might not like.
