When ever i sleep it seems i ALWAYS dream and remember them the next day, i'm not one of those people who just forget right away, well lately i've been having scary dreams even though they have nothing to do with my life or anything i do that day? is there anyway to stop these nightmares from occuring everynight? What could be causing it?

I'm not sure if this will help you, but if I ever get worried about having a nightmare about a specific thing (like a scary movie or something) I tell myself "I am not going to dream about [insert whatever]", and it has worked so far. It almost seems that by specifically thinking about it it brings it out of my unconcious and there is no longer a need to dream about it.

The things I have bad dreams about are usually things I only think about for half a second during the day.

According to --http://www.soulfuture.com/dream_dictionary/symbols_n/nightmare_dream_dictionary.asp
--nightmares bring to our attention a deep, hidden fear(s) that needs to be addressed and released--once the issue is addressed the reoccurring dream ceases. Consciously dismissing the nightmares without addressing the issues does not make sense; you don't want to shut up or dismiss your subconscious--conscious communication ... Good luck! Have nice dreams!

Whatever is going on in your life is causing it..i think it can be over a week of whatever you thought or did,and later you can still dream about it..think closely about your dreams...there are dream meaning sites on the web...look up what you are dreaming about, and you will see there is a connection. hopefully that can help.

Sometimes what you eat before bed affects your sleep/dreams.

Is there a huge stressful event going on at work or at home? Do you watch movies that scare you?

I would consult a sleep specialist.
