We all have things we believe in and we say nothing will ever change our minds. The question is would you die for those beliefs, because if they are not worth dieing for they are really not worth living for either.

I know that I am willing to die for God if need be.

you've to lose your life, offering it GOD, to find HIM
Remember Christ-like, HE died for us, HE expects no less, im tired though and the day is coming soon that the choice will be clear cut, crystal clear..http://www.verichipcorp.com/......now they will soon offer amnesty to those illegal immigrants who take one...then of course kill those who do not take it (the plan is something like ten years Americans start getting chipped, you can already see many people giggling about it all over)........so if your with Christ, you may full well soon know, sooner than you think....
HE has Risen

I hope you mean that because the way things are going in this country the day is not too far off when you might have to die for your faith(that is, if you are a christian). Christians think that it could never happen in this country but the fact is that christians are dying for their faith all over the world. More christians have died for their faith in the 20th century than in the 1st 19 centuries combined. I believe that if the Lord doesn't return soon it will happen in this country too and I say that as a christian. All you have to do is read some of the questions on this Yahoo answers forum and you'll see how much a lot of people hate christians.

Yes. Ever since I first read Through Gates of Splendor by Elisabeth Elliot. (Wife of Martyred missionary Jim Elliot.) I've known that was a possibility that I could die for my faith.

I once portrayed Felicitus (of Felicitus & Perpetua) in a play, who was going to be martyred a few days later....leaving behind a newborn babe. So I've had opportunities to think about it...I only pray that if I die for my beliefs that my death like Jim Elliot's death, others will come to know the Lord through it.

(But as someone already said sometimes it's easier to die for our faith than live it.)

I would give my life, die, for God. I want to be taken in the rapture, but if left behind, I would give my life before I take the mark of the beast.

I would also give my life for my family and friends.

Good point! I see the above as worth living for also.

It is an interesting question and one I didn't have to even think about. As far as I'm concerned, I am here (as in living) only as a result of my beliefs and therefore would certainly die for them. Jesus gave his life for me, I am here until He calls me home again and will do whatever He asks in the meantime. That is not to say it's easy but I am honoured and blessed by the joy, pain and suffering He has called on me to endure and I believe it is all in preparation for fulfillment of His divine plan and my eternal life with Him.
Have a Blessed Day,
Monique

If someone were to walk up to me and put a gun to me head and say "I am going to ask you one question, if you say yes you will die, if you say no you will live" and then the question was if I believe in God, or Jesus, then I would take the bullet. It would be better to die and go to Heaven right then and there than to live in my shame of knowing I denounced my faith for selfish reasons. After all, if God did not want me to die at that moment, I believe He would step in.

Jesus warned us in John 16:2-3, “They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.”

Why kill one another because of religious beliefs? The God of the Old Testament commanded in Exodus 20:13, “Thou shalt not kill.” And Jesus commanded us to love one another, to love our fellowmen like we love our self.

Do we have the right to kill our fellowmen for their unbelief? Can God not do it? He can, can’t He? He showed this when He killed all the first-born Egyptians around midnight, that is why the Israelites were allowed to leave Egypt. God did the killing selectively and in an instant. These are the hallmarks of the true God—He can prophesy and He can make what He prophesy to happen.

If we follow the true God, then we will not kill our fellowmen. We will not impose on them our belief. We will let him decide for himself for God gave us the free will. Now, it is our time. We can do what we would like to do. Later, it will be God’s time when God will settle accounts with us on Judgment Day.

So I will just do what I think I have to do to reveal the truth to my fellowmen, but not through killing. I believe I have found the truth. Anyway, I am already in the sunset of my life and I know that one day, I will depart from this world to face my Creator. They may kill my body but not my soul. Jesus said in Matthew 24:13, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

I died to my old life the day that I accepted Jesus. each day we are offered the opportunity to either live or die for him again.
we stand for our beliefs every day, againt opposition. from every side.
life is never so precious and when it is given for another, and that is what Jesus did for us. to be able to give my life for Him would be the highest honor.
that is why ii live my life trying to show the love of God, and that is when I die I will be singing His praises.

WOW!!! Jan that was awesome.

There are some things I'd die rather than do,
and some things I'd definitely risk death for.

And (subject to disproof in the event) some things I would die for, if no better option was available.

Matthew 16:24, 25, and 26 Then Jesus said to His deciples, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
"For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it.
"For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

This says it all.
