I think the operative condition here is referred to as
"Adult ADD." But there is also a total lack of common
sense involved, leading to constant stupid mistakes
made over and over again. Relax, and mistakes get
made. Go on "red alert", and the f@#$-ups get even
WORSE.
So, what sort of jobs require NO common sense, involve
working ALONE (this is extremely important!) and offer
enough money to at least get you into a flea-bag apartment
with money left over for necessities? Any ideas?

Is this about you or someone else? Because the first thing is to lift up the person's self-esteem. Then get on some medication and get some help with the ADD. There are plenty of successful people with Adult ADD. I know a guy who became a lawyer first and then a medical doctor, and he has it. He chose emergency room medicine, because it fits well with the ADD. He doesn't have to follow the patient, and he gets a big adrenaline rush from it. I know another guy with ADD who works in politics: there's always something new for him to focus on. However, the put-downs in your note suggest someone who's gotten a lot of verbal abuse. When you're abused, you make bad mistakes because someone's always on you about something. Lift that up, and maybe there is common sense there. So, an evaluation and medication first, okay?

Night janitor. My brother did this, he couldn't work with anyone and wasn't big on the follow through either. Its hard to screw up mopping a floor and dumping trash.

It is not a job but it involves a lot of work. Go into business and be responsible for your own work. Here are sites, which can help you start your dream business.
