i know i'm gonna get in trouble for this with the yahoo police but....
you gotta try to be more sexual, completly uninhibited. anal, threesomes (m/f/m, f/f/m)....
you've got to let him know you trust him and am completly committed to him.
candles, flowers, dinner...PUKE
trust me, every man and i mean EVERY MAN has fantasies and you have to let your guy know that you are willing to indulge in his and include him in yours.

Never confuse romance with interest. Some people simply aren't romantic by nature. As for "spicing it up" if you really feel you need to do that try asking him/her about his/her fantasies. I assume you mean sexually, and if so then that is one of the best (maybe only) ways to spice up your sex life, and is sadly overlooked by many couples, in my experience.

get him into playing roles...both of you can play like you dont know each other and he can approach you in a bar and try to take you home...role playing always spices up a relationship...and communication keeps it burning...good luck...
