Everyone has something and everyone has struggles and my husband and I have had our fair share of things to deal with, but I find my self being angry and resentful and hostile at people in our family and people we know that are successful and living a good life and have not had to climb the mountains we have had a lot of struggling to get where we are today.

The more I grow in the Lord the more I realize this world is not my home heaven in and I fully understand that not everyone get thier treasures on earth but some treasures are stored up in heaven.

Knowing this has took a lot of the sting and pain out of the obstacles my steadfast and I are facing.

My question is is it human nature to feel this way even thought I love God? What are ways to come to terms with this and go forward in my relationship with the Lord?

It is OK at first, but God expects us to mature and grow up. King David wrote that he almost fell when he saw the wicked prosper. But we have to move beyond what other people have or it will become a snare to you. which the Devil will use to entrap you. Who cares what other people have. If you have been "Born Again", you have God and all that is His. If what other people have bothers you, this could be a warning, a red flag, maybe you do not have the Holy Spirit in you. The result of the Holy Spirit being in your life is; love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, self control, meekness, etc., etc..

If you and your husband do not have these qualities, don't try to change yourself. Get filled with the Holy Ghost. Let Him change you from the inside out.

I had a lot of struggles over the years - one thing that helped me was to keep a daily journal of several things....
10 things that I'm grateful for....I try not to get in a rut with these things....just small stuff
1 thing I did to be nice to someone that needed it - even if its just opening a door
1 thing in life that I learned (this one is one that will change your perspective A LOT over time)
and I keep track of the things that I pray for....and I dont go back over those for a while....

Yeah, i think its normal. Everyone I know has been in that spot at one time or another. Beaeting yourself up over it wont help any.
I find that when I'm in that spot I go somewhere quiet - outside if possible - and have a sit down with God, in the exact same way that i would a buddy - and I tell him what I've had a hard time with, what I think I should do, why I resist doing those things, or why i dont think its possible - and then I just sit down and "listen" - try to quiet my mind as much as possible.....and if thats all that happens - well, I'm at peace for a few minutes...and some days thats quite a bit....
But usually, after one of those sit downs I'll notice that a few days later an opprotunity will open up, or something will become clearer to me....if I am willing to be open to them.
Quite often these things pass by us and we dont notice them.

Good Luck

Human nature is that we're born unperfect beings and for every since the time of Adam & Eve, God has seen us repeatedly disappoint Him. Jesus encourages us to try to be perfect even though we're not.
The best way to look at it is...The more you have of this world, the less you'll have of the Lord in your Life.
Yes, life is a mere transitition period,... of which we are all being tested, through it, of which we value the most...God or worldly stuff.
In thee end we will all be judged for what is mostly in our heart...good or evil. Love must paramount over everything, so that the bitterness in the world will be vanquished.
People wrongly thought Job must of did something wrong before God, is why he lost so much and had it so bad. When actually Job's faithfulness was being tested. So, when you see others having it so great, you should be asking yourself
...what they are doing wrong, that Satan would leave them alone and not attack their situation? It is through your suffering endurance that you truly prove your Love for Christ.
Realize that you were not born for your own purpose but for God. Come to terms that when God created Lucifer and later Adam & Eve, that he was seeking companionship, that He couldn't get from His 'yes men' Angels. He wanted those who'd truly appreciate Him. He gave us the gift of life, so we might better understand & relate to Him. We were suppose to look at all His creations and wander after Him. Not turn away from Him and think more of worldly things.

Grace (not law) unto you, and peace (not division),
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus -> Christ.

Where envy and strife, there confusion and evil(law).
I think I might of heard some envy in your question.
You're struggling & failing like those in Romans 9:31.
The only place you start at the top is digging a hole.
Start your clarity of charity with pt 1: charity edifieth.
http://www.godshew.org/Charity.htm

God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace.

Try trading the peace that passeth all understanding,
for the understanding that brings internal & eternal peace.

Pst: All who will live godly in CJ "shall suffer".
All who will live Godly in JC have flushed suffer.
(note the small g denotes such are childish)
Perhaps you have been doing the CJ thing.
Why not try the JC thing, if the CJ thing is hard.
JC said God said my yoke is not hard, it's "easy".
James 3 also notes pure grace is easily entreated.
It's his bitter-sweet sermon that is hard to swallow.

There's no dis-comfort at all in "the God of all comfort".
http://www.godshew.org/GodShew2.htm#Allness

Prophesy to men: edification->exhortation->unto comfort.
Where you find any dis-comfort in that God befuddles me.

A servant(slave) is not free. Above a servant is free.

The Only True God NEVER desired sacrifice:
http://www.godshew.org/Sacrifice.htm

Maybe you should trade your Law Lord for Grace us Lord. Trade Jesus(division, not peace) for Christ(peace, not divided). Even God can't be one by division and alienation; but is one by unity and reconciliation. The word of alienation is law. The word of reconciliation is grace. Selah.

The GRACE(ONLY) of our Lord Jesus->Christ with you->all. Amen.

It's all human nature and it's ok. What you feel is jealousy, which is a natural emotion, such as happiness, anger, resentment and sadness.

If it makes you feel better, one of the common terms I hear to describe God, (which is even described in the Old Testament!) is that He is a jealous God, proven through how He used his prophets to disprove ancient gods like Baal.

Of course it's human nature. A priest told me that G-d takes on all your suffering because it is the only thing He doesn't already have. I have trouble with that concept but "let go, let G-d" helps a lot of people. Read Job. And stomp your feet and question and scream "why? WHY?" it is natural and normal. imho.

Yes, That's why we are Human. Your doing just fine, you are still growing in Christ..Keep it up. Read the word out loud, for it is by hearing we grow in the Word. And may God Bless you with the Blessings of Abraham!

for some reason, i am reminded of the old country western song, I beg your pardon, i never promised you a rose garden.,
I haven't listened to country music for years. and yet today several of them have come back to me.
why in the world would someone want a rose garden anyway?
sure they are pretty, and they smell great, but they are also full of thorns.
we never know how many thorns someone has in their lives. even if it looks like their life is a rose garden.
the trials that I have had in my life, have always brought me closer the God. and it has been well worth it.
sometimes the way to come to grips with what we go through is to realize that it is God drawing us closer to Him.

hate to break it to you but believing that your suffering on earth is worth something is just hopeful thinking, no ones leaving the soil of the earth, except people in spacecraft an planes and the like.

yeap, Christ asks the FATHER to remove this burden (the cross), but nevertheless HIS will be done.....
its much better to hover in a helicopter than climb the mountain, but when that storm hits, you dont have to come crashing down...........just be ready to pick up the survivors.........
