Whether you want to lose weight or not, you should drink water throughout the day.
Eight glasses a day…but don’t bother to count, just drink whenever you can all day long so you don’t dehydrate.

Also water fills up your stomach so you don’t feel that hungry and eat that much.

As far as eating little and often, it is just because each time your body has to digest a meal, it uses energy to do so.
Instead of having three meals, you could have 5 or six (smaller) meals with the same calories as the three (bigger) meals and your body would have to use energy to digest your food 6 times instead of only 3 times…

It’s like if you eat nothing but an egg, your body will have to use about 100 calories just to digest that single egg and since that egg is about 100 calories, it’s like you ate nothing, as far as calories go…

Now, my concern is about you being busy all day and trying to lose weight by eating little and often (instead of more and not so often?) and drinking a lot of water…
You’re thinking…as long as I can eat often and drink a lot…I will be fine and lose weight….

Wouldn’t it be nice to lose weight by just eating more often and drinking more water?

Sorry…but to lose weight, you have to eat less than what you need so you force your body to use your fat reserve as fuel. You have to exercise (I know, the ugly, painful word), you have to sweat for one hour three times a week, you have to stretch and build some muscle with weight training and get sore…You have to walk or jog or run, if you can…

Sorry, you have to get moving and not just eat more often and drink more water.

I have been told that to lose weight you must eat 3 time a day and not skip meals because this can slowdown your metabolism. Also drinking 2 ltrs of water a day is important because it detoxes the body helps your skin stay clearer and also helps guard against wrinkles. So if you are drinking 6-8 glasses a day that will help. Coffee and Tea are not classed as water intake.
I don't know how much weight you want to lose but this website has been recommended to me. You can get some useful information if you visit www.feeling-great.org Hope this helps.

the metabolism is directly effectly by the level of hydration. water is used to metabolize many nutrients. if the body is chronically dehyrated metabolic function will decrease.

you need to drink the minimum of 64 oz. daily and maybe much more depending on your bodyweight, daily level of acitivity, ambient temperatue, humidity, etc.

Water is needed for converting adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and guanosine triphosphate (GTP) into usable energy. This energy is needed for ALL bodily functions and is crucial to your metabolism.
