That is alot of weight to gain in 6 months. I think the doctor should be your first stop. There a several diseases associated with a rapid weight gain.
Walking alone is not going to cause dramatic weight loss. Weight training burns more calories, and increases your basil metabolism.
You HAVE to reduce you calories period. You can not expect to loose and keep the weight off if you constantly overeat.

I'll tell you one thing, walking is not going to help you lose weight. If you're taking the time to walk, how about run? And you may want to reevaluate what you're actually doing to lose weight. You say you're trying everything? Here's what you need to do first and foremost:
1. Cut out ALL junk food/fast food/sodas/processed sugars.
2. Eat three, healthy meals a day.
3. Exercise five times a week.
4. No cheating.
You obviously aren't doing any of those, otherwise you wouldn't be on here asking how much walking you would need to do to lose 90 pounds.

The first thing you should do is see your doctor. It's not normal to gain that much weight in six months. Have your eating habits changed? Are you under a lot of stress? This may sound like a silly question, but...are you pregnant? The problem could also be hormonal or due to certain medications. Your doctor is the best place to start. Good luck.

Hmm, well you might want to set your goals a bit lower. I'd aim for 10 pounds first, then keep on going from there (with a little at a time).
To burn Fat, you must run/jog/powerwalk (whatever it takes to keep your heartrate up) for over 35 minutes (I'd suggest running for about 45-60 minutes first), because whatever you do after 35 minutes is used to burn fat.
If you can, run in the mornings and evenings. Cardio for at least 45-60 minutes if possible.

A good cardio workout 30-40 minutes, 3 times a week will have you slimming down in no time. The trick to losing weight is exporting (if you will) more calories then you intake. So, eating moderate portions of low-fat foods with a good workout program works great!
Remember, you must EAT to lose weight! Don't starve yourself! As soon as you stop eating for days, your body shuts down and begins to think it's starving! As soon as you eat anything....your body will hold on to every gram of fat, not knowing when it will eat again.
Eat healthy, and cardio (or mix it up with some yoga!) will do the woman's body good.

Walking won't help you lose 90 pounds. You need to do some serious sweating and eating a lot more food that makes you poop a lot.

first you have to identify the causes of the weight gain. if they can't not be controlled or eliminated walking will not have much of an effect if you can't control your caloric or nutritional intake
