Ok i have this about 9 week old kitten, i have had him for about 2 weeks now. Just yesterday or the day before yesterday i have noticed his butt keeps getting very wet, sometimes poppy and he is dragging his butt alot obviously to dry it and get the nasty stuff off. He was very well at potty in the box but now i know he cant control when he does it and some vry water poop/clearish stuff almost leaks out of his butt wherever he is. We are so broke, we just had an emergency the other night where our cat got into the bleach and almost died leaving her 3 days old kittens. We took her to the vet and it was almost $600. WERE BROKE! help please!

your cat needs to go to the vet. a swollen rectum could by anything - from the food it eats, worms, a mass, an infected anal sac, a prolapsed rectum, etc. you should be concerned that the stool of the cat is runny and wet. cat stool should always be firm, free from blood and the cat should not have a swollen rectum.

unfortunately pets are expensive. my cat got a scratch that led to an abscess that ended up costing 300 bucks. if you find yourself spending a lot of money for your pets you should think about getting pet insurance. it will save you a lot of money especially when you will have to pay for the medicine.

First, sorry about everything. Next, the kitten may have worms, and I promise you, nothing over-the-counter will work if that's what it is. Vet must de-worm with a shot. But, my sister had a precious puppy with almost identical symptoms, (I hate this story), the puppy came from an irresponsible breeder, due to over-breeding of the pup's mom, the puppy had undeveloped intestines. He couldn't digest food and died at 11 weeks old.

well, keep up what you are doing.. and also, try www.kittenwise.com they may have a suggestion.. they're helpful, and quick.. have to create an account, but it's free...and fast. may be rubbing behind on floor to try and soothe his sore backside as well... use a warm rag on his behind a couple times a day.. it may help, because it will cause him to go to the bathroom (keep his box close!) which may help to expel faster whatever is going on.. and it will clean him up, also, take q-tip and vaseline, that will soothe his bottom..(and may make him need box again), he is probably poppy simply because of irritation.. i went through something similar with a stray kitten i had a while ago, but his was immediately, and was just due to a change in diet.. from whatever he could find in the streets, to kitten chow..and take a walk around your home, he may have gotten into something...

This is cause for a trip to the vet, sorry. Especially if the kitten is losing weight. It could be any number of things, but only a vet would know for sure.

contact your local humane society and they might be able to help with expenses. if they are not able to then talk with the vet to arrange payments. any decent vet will do this. you need to get the kitty to the vet asap! have you wormed the kitten? if not, try that and then give it boiled rice and turkey to get some weight on it. Best of luck.

15 months to a 10 month term - in a school for sick puppies - and it may rain dogs and cats on sunday in Lower Normandy and Madame Monet died laughing of tuberculosis in 1879 - you have a dreadful day because Ernest Hoschede who is a patron of the performing arts is listening to your ring tones on your mobile phone and there are no bog-bots allowed in the kitchen - ok - you have a nice day.
