Hi all,hope you can help!!. I work for a home care agency, Social Services have decieded they will no longer renew contracts with my firm, no notice NOTHING, out of a job like that, social services have sent all our clients to other firms within a few days!!, We are being told we cannot claim redundancy, is this right, surley not??. yesterday I had a job by next week I wont have any clients?, our boss says we are entitiled only to accumilated holiday pay. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Social Service contracts are often provisional, and they are under no obligation to renew contracts with specific providers. I suggest you get your resume over to the other care providers immediately, - with taking on those extra clients they will need to hire on additional experienced workers.
