the blood is the blood. if it's in your body, it'll probably be in your blood. the question you should be asking is if a typical liver test includes a test for drugs. liver test and a drug test may be two separate things. so the real issue is whether or not the doctor is looking for drug use in the blood sample given. this is where it gets tricky. once you sign those forms, and they usually have one that covers everything, you give them the right to test for everything. the only person who can tell you whether or not they are testing for drugs is the doctor who's ordering/doing the test. now you need to know how to approach the doctor in such a way that won't arouse suspicion. you have to ask in a curious manner if the blood sample will be tested for narcotics. but don't stop there and breath. talk str8 thru. "will this blood be tested for drug use because my girlfriend thinks i am on drugs everytime i mention a crazy sex position. i want a piece of paper proving that i am not." AND LAUGH! the doc will jokingly tell you what you need to know. if he says yes, JUST TELL THE TRUTH. he's gonna know anyway and you need to tell because if you're about to get surgery, he oughta know how much you've been doing. if he says no, then shut up and keep smiling.

ANY abnormalities will show up in a blood test. They will look at ALL aspects to see if you have anything in your bloodstream that could cause liver damage. If you are still considered a minor in your area - and are still on your parent's insurance plan - then the one's responsible for the bill will be notified of what your condtiion is.
