It's customary to give your soon to be wife a gift, she'll give you one as well.
It doesn't have to be anything extravagant, Just something simple like Maybe a pair of ear rings, book of poems, or what not. The best is to make it something really personal that has to do with your relationship with her [like something relating to your first date, or an inside joke you two share, ect] You can usually give each other these gifts the night before your wedding or have a wedding attendant deliver it to her on the morning of the wedding. And always include a message reminding her how much you love her and how you're excited to be marring her.
Congrats.

I think you should buy her a "something blue" and give it to her on the morning of your wedding. It could be a little something for your honey moon like lingerie. Get her to wear it underneath her wedding dress. Only do this if your soon to be wife is into stuff like that. If she won't take it as an insult then it'd be a great gift.
Congratulations on the marriage and I hope you have a great life with her!

If you are doing all the traditional stuff, then yes.
Thats the short answer. If you are doing something a little different (we got married on the beach with friends and family present but no groomsmen or bridesmaids- no presents)
If you really dont know, ask her best friend. She will probably even have a price range that the bride is spending.
Good Luck!

It's a tradition, but it depends on the kind of relationship you have, and of course, your finances. You shouldn't go into debt for her present. Love is what counts.
If you decide to get her a present, a small diamond necklace is also traditional. But gifts should represent the person they are for and the person they are from. Look for something that is symbolic of your relationship.

yes
my son got his bride a porch swing of beautiful wood and engraved their wedding date on it. He gave her a photo of it the day of the wedding.
Some men give a family Bible with their last name engraved on the front. Some give jewelry.

Unless you want to be sleeping in the bath tub and using a lot of hand lotion while whackin' it to old porn, then it would be to your good health to get her a nice present. Not a gun though.

It is a tradition to. But not all couples do. Try to see if she's getting you one then you should DEFINITELY get her one.
