Actually outdoor tanning oil will not work as effectively as indoor tanning products when used in tanning beds. In addition to creating a mess they also destroy the shields that cover the bulbs. They create a milky haze the will not come off because it eats away at the acrylic over time. If you have ever noticed the small cracks that run along the bottom shield and a residue that never seems to come off, that is the result of outdoor oil. This process also will increase the cost of the tanning salons operating costs because the shields will need to be replaced and they average $350 and up! As an owner of a tanning salon I can state that we do not recommend using outdoor products indoors, but there are many products designed for indoor use that are amazing when outdoors. Check out California Tans products. Good Luck with that tan!!!!!

Yes it does, but the staff gets really mad about that because you leave it all over the bed and they have to clean it up!! I bring portable wet wipes with me and a few paper towels, so that I don't leave a big mess.
