Jesus came more than 2000 years ago, long before any form of modern technology, media, etc. Think of the impact he would have if he came back today to remind and reinforce his word to mankind.

He will allow Man to have his free will to the very end, at which time He will return.

Man by then will have destroyed the world so badly, that Jesus Himself said;

Mark 13:19-20

19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

The word used for "flesh" in verse 20 is the Greek word "sarx" meaning literal flesh. In other words, things are going to be so bad that unless He returns to intervene, Earth would quickly become a lifeless planet.

Thus, knowing the future, He has set a time to return so He can put an end to the extermination of mankind by Satan through the Antichrist, and save what is left of the Earth from total destruction.

Besides, all who live up to that point must be given the choice as to whom they will serve, God or the Antichrist who will be in power during that time.

Jesus has a tremendous amount of patience, He is still waiting for every member of His body. Once this is accomplished the end will come. This earth is on the brink of a new millennium..(one thousand years) during this period, Christ will set up His Kingdom on earth. Those who believe in Him will be with Him. Satan will be cast into the abyss of the sea during this time period , at the end of that period, he will be let loose for a short period and then his final destination will be the lake of fire.
The bible warns us of false prophets if anyone says Jesus is in the wilderness , do not follow, or that He is any where do not go because when your eyes are set on Jesus with all His glory coming He will be coming out from heaven with all His followers ( The Church).

Uhhhhh. B'cuz he said he would?

Dude, the modern age we live in seems like we're all sophisticated. But there is no biological difference between us and the folks of 4,000 years ago. Except many of us are better fed.

Also, Jesus and the prophets predicted these times. None of it is a surprise. We get daily and weekly news out of the "heavens" (ie. the natural heavens) that are amazing. Jesus told you a sign of the end would be signs in the heavens.

Jesus isn't coming back until the time is fulfilled.

while Jesus comes he will first combat with Anti-Christ and his accomplices (Jews) and could kill them. Then he will set up God's Kingdom on the earth, from Seat of David and rule the earth for 40 years. he will make the earth a bastion of peace and quietness. There be abundance of each little thing and no beggar would be got here upon. he will marry, have little ones and die. Seven years after his demise the doomsday will happen. in accordance to my calculation, Jesus is coming in 2008 itself. might God Almighty instruct us the auspicious day. source : Muslim & Bukhari Muahmmad Javed Iqbal

It is mind boggling to think of what would happen in the world if Jesus returned now. You know what I think? I think that the world and media would DENY him and keep focusing on Paris Hilton and their heads up their butts. This is why the world is going to pot- it's losing not only it's faith- but I think mankind is still going to be surprised in the end.

OOO....religious question in public forum. The miracle is that Jesus didnt and doesnt need technology. 2000 years ago and he is the most recognized man in the world. Believer or not...Since God created man, and man created technology, then God actually created technology and knew He wasn't gunna need it.

Lol.. thats like asking why is it you always find your keys in the last place you look. The world as we know it will end because of his return. He will usher in 1000 years of peace and spiritual advancement. then, all hell will break loose and Jesus will win that war too.

He won't, he will come back and reign for 1000 years before the world really end. It's a long history and I'm to tired to explain it.
