Moreover, why not just "have faith in" the ORIGINAL mystery?!?!

First, there were the mysteries of the universe ... then you invented sky gods ... either way you have to take it all on faith in absence of evidence .... so why expend the energy on ELABORATE fictionalizations, when either way, you still don't KNOW, you still just take on FAITH that there is some sort of explanation for the mysteries ....

Because the unexplainable IS unexplainable! We in a physical form can not begin to comprehend something that is purely of spiritual essence. The human personifications of "god" are just mans attempt of putting the unreachable into some kind of understandable concept.

I would suggest to you an exceptional book which I really think you would enjoy reading for it attempts to answer the question which you pose. Its out of print, but I've seen it on EBay and other places. I don't recall the author's name, but the book is entitled, "God, the Atom, and the Universe. The author is a nuclear physicist and his attempt is to disprove the existence of God. Seriously, check it out.
