I asked this in philosophy but there don't seem to be as many people there as there are here. Are you living your life, if so how? I think living is different from surviving and existing. And I don't care if you're a christian, atheist, agnostic, muslim, pagan, etc. I just want to know if you're living your life.

I am living my life, in every way it is possible for me to do so.
Quite frankly I think that everyone does. For some, there are things not possible that are possible to others, but that doesn't mean they aren't living their lives to their full ability.
It just means they have less to work with and for than others.
To say that some one is just existing, or just surviving, is denigrating their efforts. One must exist to live, one must survive to live, and to infer that those are small feats is arrogant. Each of us does what we can to maximize our percieved experience of life and living, some get further than others in this pursuit, but all are doing what they can. No one can judge that they do not do enough, which is what you infer.

to rocket maniac, no one has a cure for death, we all face it ultimately. Good for you that you live each day you have.

This is a question I asked myself a lot. Sometimes I do feel as though I'm just existing. Many times I feel like I'm just waiting for a specific activity or time in life that will make my life better so I can live. For example...since I'm a teacher, I'm always waiting for the summer. When I was 25, I always told myself, "when i'm 30 I'll live more fully." Now that I'm 34, I'm still waiting for that "living fully" to take place.

We should not wait for anything or anyone to bring fullfilment to our lives. Live in the here and now---Live I say----Live, Live, Live!

I don't get it. Of course I am living my life. I have my family, my own problems, I enjoy things, I love, I hate, I have my spiritual connection, I have my freedom to do things, to speak, I raise my children, I drive my car, I cook, I read, I write, I have friends, I travel sometimes, I talk to my mom often, I help people when I can, I show love and respect, I try to get along with my husband... Yes, this is my life and it is unique. I love it and I live it the best way I can.

Peace!

Yes, I am, because I think I now understand what life is. I must look as well as can today for tomorrow. By looking well I mean forgiveness and charity.

Yes I am. Specially since I found out I have bone marrow cancer almost 2 years ago and I am only 40. BTW, bone marrow cancer is only treatable, not cureable.
