IT IS THE SUMMER AND I CANT SEE MY SELF EVERY WEEKEND AT WORK. WHAT KIND OF AN EXCUSE CAN I GIVE NOT T GO IN?

Well, I have what we call the "request off calendar", to handle these types of problems. Everyone just initials the dates they need or want off, within reason, and I work the schedules around this. As long as you are not asking to be off every weekend your boss should be able to accomodate your need for an occasional one off. Just make sure you give him plenty of notice that you need these days off. Do not lie to him, and say a wedding or anything he can check on. This can get you fired. Just say you need this weekend off.

thats not a good reason to call in sorry. unless your ill or have some other pressing emerngecy, you should be at work every day.

How about you grow up and get a work ethic. A little responsibility and hard work will take you places. Thinking of ways to hurt your employer by not committing to the job isn't the best way to build your future.

tell them a certain weekend you are in a wedding out of town...and then you'll at least get a whole weekend off.
