When two people get together, they still have the goals and aspirations they had when they were single. Some people have no problem shedding off their former pursuits, but others find it more difficult. They love the person they're with, but they still want their friends, their hobbies, their jobs, and on and on. It's not a bad thing and it's far from selfish. Be understanding and give them the slack they need.

People need space in a relationship cuz they just wanna get out of the situation and look at it by the vision of an outsider not by the eye of the one in a relationship. Or maybe just to slow things down

Most of us need space in a relationship because personally in my expirience my last few boyfriends just wouldn't leave me alone and it almost seemed like they stalked me. I think it would be best to keep space because it gives you more time to relax and more time to consentrate on other things rather then your bf/gf constantly around you. It eventually get's annoying always having your bf/gf around you and that is why most of us need space.
