Actually I have a mother who is Christian and she is very open-minded. She fully accepts me and has no problem with the fact that I am Pagan. And I have three close friends who are Christian who don't care that I'm Pagan either. I think most Christians are open minded and it's just the close minded zealots that scream the loudest so they're the ones that get heard.

Virgo-27: I do not claim my beliefs to be true so not EVERYONE believes that their's is the only truth. And also realize that everyone would include you.

Next time use your check spell, I'm getting a headache trying to understand your words. It is Christian, not cristian. I don't know where you are getting your information, did you ever read the bible. before you condemn a work you should first read it. God never tells man to sin, what I think you hear 'all have sinned and fell short of God'. Most of our bible comes to us in Greek, then English. You tell me what is left if we don't have God?

Actually it was written by more than 40 authors, in three different languages (greek, aramaic and hebrew) . It took over 1500 years to be written and was written on three different continents (asia, africa and europe). It is the most protected and most reproduced document in history. And , the manuscripts and information contained in them has been deemed acurate by historians, anthropologists and scientists all over the world.
Furthermore, it contains nearly 2500 prophecies of which about 2000 of them have come true without error. The probability of that happening is less than one in 10 to the 2000th power. Since probability that occures less than 1 in 10 to the 50th power is considered impossible, the fact that this has occured is pretty astounding. (the remaining prophecies have not yet occured as most pertain to the return of Jesus)

If you believe that God is who He says He is (all powerful, all knowing, everywhere, eternal, loveing, just etc..) they you would have to believe that He would protect His word over the thousands of years it has been lovingly copied.

The bible was written by man but inspired by God. The word inspired means "breathed". The bible is the very breath of God breathed into man.

Sure, man will sin - that is a given. No one is going to argue that. But the Bible (the books that make up the Bible) were written by man under the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God. God doesn't lie, therefore the Bible isn't a lie - it is the Holy Word of God.

True Christians are not close minded, nor narrow minded. True Christians try not to be judgmental, but accepting. True Christians are to be Christ-like.

Christ came to seek and to save that which was lost. He hung out with people that had been cast off by the near-do-wells. He cleaned up prostitutes, drunks, thieves, murderers, all of the dregs of society.

True Christians are supposed to be around these people, showing them a better way without judgment, and without becoming like them. Lost ones need to be shown the way.

As for the writing of the bible, if you were my secretary and took dictation, it would be my words that you were writing. Whose words then?

BRAVO! yOU ARE USING YOUR BRAIN!!

People who follow the bible do not know how to look at the world around them and use their own minds to come to logical conclusions!

If they were to open their minds and look into some of the more believable religions(pagan ones) they may never go back and the thought of not having a book to guide all their thoughts and actions scares the bejesus out of them!

They say if you want the truth ask a pagan!
You got it!

Blessed Be!

2 Timothy 3:16 says "All scripture is God breathed" the old testement was written in Hebrew, the new testement was written in Greek. You could get the original languages and translate them your self if you don't trust the translations that exist now. The information inside is not something you want to be wrong about.

i dont think ALL christians are close minded. all religions have their own individuals who are close minded as well as the non believers. yeah i agree with you -- the translation has to have issues.. look at translating some english words to other languages -- there just arent words in some languages that mean what the word means in english and vice versa its just wierd when you think about it.

i guess it depends on what your main beef is with what these close minded christians are trying to tell you that you don't believe. im catholic and theres a lot of things that a lot of catholics dont believe in the catholic religion. well that's fine with most people. take what YOU want out of religion and put into it what YOU want. it should be between YOU and god, or whoever is the thing you are worshiping, etc. tell people to mind their own beeswax and let YOU figure it all out on YOUR own.

You haven't read the Bible have you?
It tells us who the Author is, and it's not man.
Original manuscripts were in Hebrew, Chaldean, and Greek.
