John the Baptist told Herod that he was living in Adultery with his brothers wife.
John the Baptist called the Pharisess a generation of Vipers.
And Jesus said that there was not a greater prophet than John the Baptist.
So what we we have done with John in todays world?
I believe that we are supposed to judge, Matthew 18:15-17.

ANGELTRESS, As Christians we are to seek judgment not hide from it. That is the reason for taking it to the church. I would much rather find out from my church family that I was not in the right spirit now, than to find it out when I stand before the One who will judge us all. Then it will be to late to find out my wrong.Read Isaiah 1:17

The Bible instructs Christians to judge sin with righteous judgment which means not as a hypocrites. Anyone who is witnessing to someone who doesn't want to hear the gospel of Christ is usually accused of judging and told they're not supposed to. Not supposed to according to what?? The Bible that the accuser claims to not believe in? This is hypocrisy.

It is not wrong to judge people. There is a complete misunderstanding of what the Bible says about judging and people do not study all that the Bible has to say about this.
There are different types of judgment taught in Scripture.
There is a judgment called for in Matthew 18:16-18; ... but if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
Again 1 Corinthians 5:12; Paul takes the people of God to task for not judging the right things the right way "... For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? And again in 1Cor.6:1,2; "Does any one of you, when he has a case against his neighbour, dare to go to law before the unrighteous and not before the saints? Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? If the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts?... Is it so, that there is not among you one wise man who will be able to decide between his brethren..."

I'd be careful about invoking scriptures like Matt 18:15-17.
Mat 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
Mat 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
Mat 18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
Sure, if you've had a falling out with someone, and you talk it over between the two of you, and you can make amends and put your quarrel behind you...well and good.
But think, now...suppose you take your aggrieved little heart to the members of your church, and (horrors) they tell you that YOU might have been at fault? Suppose your friend stands up at the next church service, and calls YOU out?
These things do have a way of backfiring...
OH...and JB did say that Herod could repent...Herod refused. That put it back in Herod's court.

the reason that we should not judge others, is because first we are not without sin....and secondly only God knows a mans heart. If you tell a lie and someone catches you, that person will automatically think that you are a deceitfully, untrustworthy person. When that may not be the case. Telling a lie is a sin, but you may have been just trying to spare someones feelings, or maybe you were afraid. If a man does not know your heart how can he know your true intentions.

There is a difference between judging someone and pointing out the truth. Hence the scripture, "you will know them by their fruit." Meaning you will be able to tell if they are good by what they are producing, good or evil.

John was not in judgement of anyone's eternal destiny, but rather was condemning or judging sin...further he was judging with a "righteous judgement" and not by the appearance of things ...He was proclaiming, with righteous indignation..

Take a look at what God says. God has said we are to forgive everyone and that judgement is his. But what judgement is He talking about. he is talking about the final judgement. Of what kingdom of Glory we will go to.
We have to Judge people everyday to see if they are the type of people we want to associate with. But we do not dare to make final judgements.
A final judgement is like telling some one that they are going to hell. That is only for God to decide.
You are correct we have to judge.
