Have you tried sticking your hands in tomato juice?
(Personally, I love the smell of garlic and would keep it as long as I could)

There are special hand soaps made to "cut" garlic and fish odors, but if you don't want to bother with that, just rub a lemon half all over the affected areas until the smell goes away. Good luck!

Cut a fresh lemon and wash your hands with the juice. It is the best thing to remove the garlic smell, plus it smells pretty good on its own.

When I wash my hands after using garlic, I touch the stainless steal sink as I wash my hands and that usually relieves the nasty smell of garlic on your fingers. Again just hold that stainless steal and run water of your hands!!

try rubbing your hands all over with a lemon wedge, or rinsing thoroughly with lemon juice or white vinegar. Allow lemon or vinegar to stay on your hands a few minutes & then wash normally with soap & water. Also try buying minced or crushed fresh garlic in the produce section of the grocer in the future.

I remember that Cannery Row lemon scene after working with fresh fish all day. Try lemons and use disposable gloves next time. It has to be driving you crazy!
I really don't believe in the stainless steel theory, but they sell a lot of bars wistfully thinking they work even at Williams Sonoma who should know better.

My Wife used to tell me I stunk like garlic after work - especialy my hands - the best remedy I found for this is to rub your hands with kosher salt - it absorbs the oils from the foods youre working with. It works on most odors stuck on your hands.
Try it - it does work.

I know it sounds really odd, but wash your hands again under cold water holding with something stainless steel (like a spatula). This works for that onion smell too!

I've heard rubbing them on a raw, cut potato will get rid of the smell...good luck!
