My neighbor's kids are constatly kicking soccor balls into my yard. They have a net that faces my property. We are friendly with them but they want their kids to be soccer pros and we just want some peace. No doubt, if we install a fence, then soccer balls will be bouncing off it. Should we?

I would absolutely positively put up the fence.

I bet your interactions with your neighbors are going to be more polite on both ends if you had the fence and the soccer issue went away as opposed to you not putting it up, getting mad over the soccer balls, and the situation escalating.

Is there any way you could ask them to face the net the other way? If you put a fence up you'll be even more bothered by having the kids kick balls at the fence. Just nicely ask thm if it's possible to move it.

Otherwise maybe you could plant some flowers...something delicate like rosebushes behind where they kick. They can't take it personally and if their parents are friends of yours they'll tell their children to be mindful of your flowers.

Same problem. I told my neighbor's kids that any ball I found in my yard was MY ball. I now have two very good soccer balls and no further problem.
