I'm sorry, but Fox News is hardly a credible source. It's a propaganda machine. His electric bill was just under $3000 per month. Keep in mind, he owns a bigger home that requires round the clock security. Remember, he's the former vice president. He can't live in a hut. Also, he buys green energy which cost a lot more than standard energy. He also DOES buy the carbon offsets. Those companies have all confirmed his purchases. Try researching something other than Fox News next time you come out calling somebody a hyporcrite. And on a related note. With all the evidence that has come out in support of global warming, and just the possibility it could be real, why not err on the side of caution? The world can only benefit from better uses of our national resources and enviromental standards. Why is everyone on the right so defensive when it comes to this issue?

He didn't invent global warming because man invented that, there are billions of people driving gas guzzling cars out there, using lots of energy, using private jets etc. they all don't care. But you care don't you? well....good. because that adds up to another person who cares. now global warming is becoming serious, we need to do something for the enviroment. We don't need to care about algore cause he is just a maniac and loser, but why not make sure we do our bit for the enviroment first. If all the people on Y!a is against global warming and is helping in someway then that is good because you are convincing alot of people on here. you are doing something right, preventing global warming is right.

People in a position of influence, such as politicians, movie stars and rock stars, have a moral obligation to use that star influence to make the world a better place. Those superstars consume a lot of energy getting their message out. I truly believe that the greenhouse gases produced by celebrities who are raising awareness about global warming are creating a net loss of greenhouse gases by the amount of greenhouse gases they convince millions of other people to reduce.
Gotta go, computer consuming energy... bye

My guess is that Gore is doing whatever he can to protect and preserve the delicate ecological balance between all men, plants and animals. Maybe he's not doing as much as he could be doing, but then most of us aren't. Maybe he's not doing as much as YOU think he should be doing, but I'd bet he's doing more than YOU are. By the way, what kind of gas-guzzling car does he drive (if you don't know, then maybe YOU'RE the hypocrite).
Maybe his private jet is among the most fuel-efficient of its kind - or maybe Gore combines travel itineraries so that he uses as little fuel as possible (how many of US plan our driving trips around saving fuel, use mass transit when we can, use a moped, ride a bike, or walk whenever it's convenient?).
If ALL of us would do just a LITTLE to REuse, REduce, or REcycle; if ALL of us would do just a few LITTLE things - such as changing to more energy-efficient lightbulbs or turning down our thermostats a few degrees in winter - we could ALL make a substantive difference in reducing our need for fossil fuels and improving our environment. But some of us would rather call others hypocrites and use that argument as an excuse for our own excesses and energy waste. -RKO- 06/22/07

What Al Gore says or doesn't say, what he does or doesn't do, has absolutely nothing to do with science and with the scientific fact that global warming is real and mostly caused by us.

Does this guy get his science from Al Gore or a movie? I don't think so:

"Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives Tuesday to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"

So what? Al Gore being a hypocrite doesn't prove or disprove a scientific theory. Global warming is real because exhaustive scientific research says so, regardless of what Al Gore drives.

Gore actually had solar panels installed on the roof of his house. Thats certainly more environmentally friendly than a vast majority of the population.

Al Gore is an environmental wreck! He is not only a hypocrite but the carbon credit program lines his own pockets since he happens to own it (wink wink) Global warming caused by humans is ridiculous and has been refuted by more than half of the qualified scientists. Strange how it is nearly impossible to hear their voices via media isn't it? Theories are not fact but these "man is bad" gloom doomsters certainly sell it as such. The lefties are simply going insane and base nothing on truth nor fact!

RKO and a few others hit the nail on the head and I am going to add my 2 cents.
Has anyone ever asked you to deliver a message and you did?
Did someone try to shoot you because you just delivered the message?
Well that is what you and others are doing: It's called: "Shooting the messenger". Al Gore did not create the facts-Scientists did!
So you go right ahead and not believe in Global Warming and do nothing. But when things really turn bad, don't try to force yourself to be first in line to get help-those spots are reserved for folks who tried their best to save this wonderful little orb in a vast universe.

So hate Al Gore, but realize the truth behind what you're saying.

Global warming is a real issue, gas shortages are a real issue and the environment in general is a real issue.

Just look up anything about fresh water supplies, fish population, pollution, ozone and say that it's not real.

You're using Al Gore as a scapegoat for your laziness.

So, go ahead and hate, but do your part to save the planet too.
