hmm, well go to a local gym, or if u have ur own weights..but ride on a tread mill first, just walk, and slowly increase speed, no the first day, but over a couple weeks, u need to build ur lungs, and yes the fat doesnt help, o yea, i also suggest swimming, that wil really help, and water aerobics classes...but the key is to run or swimming which builds ur lungs and burns the fat, but then u also need to lift weights to turn the moosh left over from the fat into muscle, but i seriously suggest swimming, that will really mold ur body, but u got to stay commited, dont be one of those people who goes to the gym once and gives up, and whenu swim ur probably not going to be able to do that much, so just push urself to the limit ur first time and work from there...and by the way, u gotta run like 4 miles to loose one pound, so i dont think u wana run, just swim, walk and jog when u can, and lift weigts and eat right...and if u belong to a ymca u can get a free trainer, so good luck and if u got anymore ?'s just email me.

Swim or walk. You don't have to jog to loose considerable weight. I'm assumming you weigh something north of 390 lbs if you want to loose 250.

Just as important to eat correctly as to exercise. Remember (calories consumed minus calories burned) divided by 3500 = lbs of fat lost or gained in a given time period. Don't go below 1500 calories intake because you won't be getting the nutrients you need. Also lower than that and you body's starvation defense will kick in slowing your metabolism down and actually decrease the amount of fat burned.

Lift some weights. More muscle will burn more calories even while you're sleeping. Muscle weighs more than fat so your success won't show up as much if you use scales alone. You need to measure or use how your clothes are fitting as a better indicator. With that much weight you may loose 5 - 10 pounds per week in the first 2- 3 weeks but that will decrease to 1-2 pounds a week if you are loosing in a healthy manner.

Don't try to jog now. You could be doing some damage to the joints in your legs and hips at that weight. If you work up to a 30-45 minute walk at 3-4 mph each day and eat about 1800- 2000 calories you'll be loosing at a healthy rate. You may have to break the 30 minute walk into 15 minute walks twice a day. Wok up to a 15 minute walk at 3-4 mph if you can't do it now..
Your goal is to eventually walk 2 miles a day in 30 minutes but you'll want to build up to that. Just increase what you can do a little each day.

Drink lots of water each day. About 64-80 ounces spread evenly through out the day and at least 16-24 additional ounces before, during and immediately after exercising.

If you are going to be successful keeping it off you're gonna have to resolve to change your habits. Better nutrition and regualar excercise. If you take it off too fast you are more apt to gain it back once you reach your goal. Make the healthy habits your goal more so than loosing a given amount of weight.

break you meals into smaller portions and eat 5-6 times a day instead of 3.

I agree. Try a pool. I'm a lifeguard and I know from personal experience that many people lose weight by swimming or water walking. Also, the water aerobics instructors are very open to adjusting the workout for individuals. Don't be afraid of sweating and I weigh 140 pounds and pant within 10 seconds when I run... Don't care about what others think of you. They are working out for the same reason as you, to be a healthier person. They should look up to you for taking the initiative to make healthier decisions and not look down on you for any reason at all. Just remember that when you work out.

You're pushing yourself to hard! Your body isn't like a marathon runner's body. I should know. I have gained a crapload of weight due to pregnancy that I am so wanting to shed. You won't enjoy torturing yourself for much longer if you keep at that rate. Start with walking, and incorporate some simple leg lifts that you can do. I hate sweating and exercising, personally. I'm lazy and would rather take a diet pill. But I have no idea how old you are, or if that is an option for you. In short, just start off easy. The more your muscles get used to it, you can work harder. Good luck!

I'd try walking for a few months and then get gradually get into jogging. Walking burns almost as many calories per mile and is easier on your joints. Check out the link below for some guidance. Best of luck!

You should find exercises which you can comfortably sustain for a workout regimen and continuously through the months and years. Swimming, bicycling, walking, rowing, hiking and others may be better. Keep your goals achieveable for the short term, then make new ones within your capability. Your determination is commendable, but you must remain focused and realistic if you are to succeed. btw, I love fat thighs for what it's worth!

just dont give up
if you work hard you will soon be able to increase your workload and then you can work out longer.
how do marathon runners run for so long? they run all the time so eventually their body is able to run longer.
you can increase your stamina over time but you just gotta be patient for right now.
do what you can and dont worry about how big you are
if you work out and you get tired just picture yourself thin and your what your goal is and that will make you more determined to exercise.
And if you dont like running that much then try other exercises like swimming (which burns more cals cause theres resistance in the water), water sports or playing sports that involve running but that are more fun than running like soccer or throwing a ball around and stuff like that.
good luck!

I would try walking first. Try to walk as long as you can at first, then slowly increase the time and intensity. It might be discouraging how little you are able to do at first but the important thing is that you're out there exercising. Push yourself a little bit each time, you'll find that it will get better and you'll begin to enjoy it more.

Swimming might also be a good alternative if you are able to do it.

find a place near you that offers water aerobics. Or instead of jogging, try going for walks first. Go for a walk for an hour every day. No strolling, a nice brisk walk. You lose weight like that too.
