I did call the cops, but this isn't the first time, and they said they would not be able to respond for awhile(it is friday after all).
They made me feel like it is my fault my brother is a jerk!

Some of you said cry like the little "*****"?
Is that how you would treat you brother?
I mean our dad died of cancer when we were 11 and 12, how is it that you are so insensitive to my plight? My mother is sick in the hospital with kidney failure, I have a degenereated nerve between my C6-C7 cervical vertibrae, and some of you think this is a joke?
I am for real.
I don't want my brother in jail, yet he should face the consequences of his bad decisions.

dcubed? I do have one line of hope at least Jim only lives 2 miles from the house. My other brother just checked in and he is at home passed out.
SORRY for my ,isuse of the keyboard, yet it was unintentional. My sistter just called and said my moms ok (JUST GOT OUT OF DIALYISIS) and at least Jim don't have to spend the night in jail.
Have any of you ever done an intervention?
Because that seems like our only hope.
Any comments?

Get a "computEr" and confront Jim. Take away his, and your drink, and buy a "car" with carE...you don't want to get the wrong one.

Then wrestle him down to the ground and make him say "Sorry" for punching you.

Shake hands and be glad you're alive. Stop using the letter "E" when it is not required.

EDIT:
Ahhhh, yes. Judging by the mamby-pamby questions and answers you are posting on, or about, the time you ask this "important" question about "brother Jim" I would surmise that you are a Troll. Catch anything lately? Mmmmm? Fish, perhaps?

Christians would say... Brother Mixxed... or in the adventure that your a woman....Sister Mixxed. the reason being we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Opps, sorry, I got here back to end the question...I pushed too early...LOL The plural "brethren" is as a rule used for contributors of a company, notably a non secular physique, while the plural "brothers" is used interior the familial experience to boot as for greater effective team. consequently, if a pastor is speaking in front of the congregation and say Brethern...he's chatting with all and sundry interior the aim audience

call the police about a drunk driver. I had to do that one christmas eve....some dude in a pickup truck stopped at a light intersection in the center of the intersection and was weaving through the lanes...he was a danger to himself and everyone else on the road. Once I got passed him, I called the sheriff on him.

If you believe he is a threat to others (and it sounds like he is) you could call the police. If you do that, he will know it was you who called (it will be on the police report) and that may cause problems for you and your brother. Ultimately, you need to decide what is best for your brother and do it.

Wait until he passes out, then braid his hair, apply eyeshadow, rouge and lipstick to his face, wrap a feather boa around his neck, take his picture and post it on a gay-oriented forum under the heading "Transvestite Seeks Romance".

I can only tell you what I would do:

call the police, report what happened, give them his license number if you know it, and be prepared to press charges for assault and battery. Until he is held responsible for his actions, he will never behave in a responsible manner.

I'm very sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. I hope he makes it home safely.

Tomorrow, when he's sober, is the time to have a conversation with him.
